"Am I under house arrest?" Sarah asked.
"Come on, I have the right to worry." I argued.
She rolled her eyes and another contraction hit. "Do me a favour?"
"Anything." I said as she slowly sat on the bed.
"Go buy a deck of cards."
"Are you kidding?" I asked.
"Do I look like I'm kidding?" She replied.
I groaned. "Alright, but stay here until I get back." I made her promise and I bought cards from a store across the street from the hospital.
"Why the heck did you suddenly want cards so bad?" I asked when I returned.
"I'm bored. I wanted to go for a walk and you wouldn't let me." She said.
"I knew it!" I said with pseudo frustration.
She laughed. "You really think I'd break a promise to you? I wanna play cards is all."
I broke open the pack and pulled up a chair. "What game?"
