"Hi guys." I greeted the kids, opening the front door. "Where's daddy?"
Alex looked up at Jessica with his fathers blue eyes. "He looked upset. He sent us here." Jessica answered, her short brown hair falling out of her headband.
I nodded as I reached for my phone. "Go have seats in the kitchen and I'll get you some cookies guys."
Jessica knelt down and untied her shoes while Alex hopped on one foot trying to rip his shoes off while hopping into the kitchen.
