I was happy I got her to laugh. So happy that I laughed too. Despite everything. "We'll get through this... Won't we?" I asked her, letting my hands drop from her stomach.
She took my hand and squeezed it. "Of course we will. Together." She smiled tenderly at me.
I smiled back.
