22 - "It's in the middle of the day. You'll live"

Start from the beginning

"No, that's not what I meant. I was talking about the party and.. oh  just start the video already" giving up on telling them what I really meant halfway through the sentence, I wave my hand towards the tv.

"Alright" Daniel quickly pipes up, starting the video as I cuddle closer to Jonah and pout a little. I didn't mean to make anyone uncomfortable, though I probably didn't do that anyways, the boys knowing I wouldn't say anything like that seriously.

Ryan's cheerful voice on the tv immediately putting a smile on my face as I get absorbed in the game and find myself laughing at the right moments along the boys or flinch every time a jumpscare catches my off guard and I cuddle closer to Jonah, who tends to tense up everytime something scary happens on the screen.

After a few videos, with each around 40 minutes long, I look at my phone, seeing it's around 7 pm as I let a small sigh leave my lips, streching my hands in the air, unintentionally drawing the attention to me, with the boys giving me questioning looks.

"We should get ready to leave, I guess" slumping back into the couch, I inform the boys on what I was thinking.

"But I'm so comfyyyy" Zach whines, a small scoff leaving my lips as I get up from the couch and pull on my clothes to fix them up.

"So you don't want to go to the party?" Raising an eyebrow, I put my hands on my hips, looking at the young boy, my eyes dancing from Jonah to Daniel for a moment, seeing both of them with smiles on their faces.

Hearing the tv shut off, I guess Daniel turned it off as I continue to stare at Zach.

"No, I really want to" he argues back, streching his arms in the air, a grunt leaving his lips.

"Then get your butt up and off the couch" I laugh a little as I step in front of him, reaching my hands out for him to grab onto.

"Okay, mom" rolling his eyes playfully, he grabs my hands and tries to pull himself in a standing position.
Not expecting him to put so much weight into it, I'm a little surprised by the strong pull as I stumble forward a little, almost falling into Zach as I let a small squeal leave my lips.

"Oh my god, that was cute" Daniel laughs, a glare is sent his way as I hear Jonah and Zach join his laughter making me roll my eyes in a playful matter.

"Oh shush" stepping away from the couch, I turn to walk past the boys and towards the kitchen, planning on getting some water.

I turn the corner and head for the fridge as I open it and grab a water bottle, opening the lid as I shut the door with my hip. Tilting the bottle up, I take a few sips before putting the lid back on it and deciding I'm going to take the bottle with me, just in case one of us needs some water on the way there or back to the house after the party.
So I make my way to the stairs and walk into Daniel's room, where I left my bag before.
Dropping the bottle into it, I let the bag dangle down my shoulder as I turn on my heel, wanting to get back down but being stopped immediately as I run straight into someone's chest.

"Whoa, easy there, Cam" Danny's arms fly around my waist, holding me in place and stopping me from falling backwards.

"Sorry, didn't hear you come up the stairs" I scratch the back of my neck as his arms loosen around me and I take a step back.

"Are we walking or driving?" Daniel offers a small smile before walking to his bedside table and unplugging his phone before shoving it in the front pocket of his jeans.

"I'd suggest walking. I mean it's not that far and I don't know if we'll get a parking spot there and secondly, we can get some drinks that way" dancing around a little, I smirk at Daniel, anticipating his protest.

"Yeah, you're right" sending a wink my way, the both of us fall into some laughter before we make our way out the door and down the stairs, meeting up with Zach and Jonah by the door, both of the boys busy with putting on their shoes as I join them, slipping into my vans.

"We're walking, if you two don't mind" I inform Zach and Jonah, as soon as we walk out the front door.

"How far is it?" Zach asks, closing the door and locking it, before putting the key in his pocket.

"It's about 15 minutes" I shrug as I fish out my phone and unlock it, searching for the chat with Alex as I look at the adress one more time, trying to remember it before putting the adress in the search bar in google maps.
"16 minutes to be precise"
Looking up at Zach, I see him nodding his head, the four of us starting to walk as we fall into a formation with Jonah and I in the front as I'm basically leading the way, being the only one knowing where we need to go, and Daniel and Zach right behind us, having a conversation about the meeting the other day.

A hand grabbing my free one makes me look up at Jonah, a smile playing on my lips which he instantly mirrors, squeezing my hand a little tighter as we keep walking down the sidewalk, the sky turning a beautiful reddish with some tints of orange and pink in it.
