THE VANIR
In Norse Mythology, the Vanir are group of gods associated with fertility, wisdom, and the ability to see the future. Their home in the nine realms is Vanaheimr, which translated from Old Norse means Home of the Vanir. They're one of the two groups of gods pertaining to the pantheon in Norse Mythology.
While the Æsir are associated with war and destruction, the Vanir are known to spread wealth, pleasure and peace. Both groups create the unity. The Vanir have also a lot of magical arts knowledge. In the myths, they usually say that Freyja, one of the Vanir goddesses, taught magic to the Æsir.
The Vanir are also related to the Light Elves of Alfheimr. According to some myths, Freyr is Alfheimr's patron as he received it as a gift from the Æsir after the Æsir-Vanir war. Besides, Vanir and Elven magic is similar, if not the same, and it's known as alf seidr in Old Norse.
