"Shelby, are you done?"

Liam was frustrated.

It has been like this from past one week.

Both of them would snap at each other for the little things.

Right now, she was taking too long to get ready. The alpha has organised a barbecue for the whole pack.

He didn't quite catch the reason behind it because as soon as it was announced in the pack link that they were having a party Shelby started screeching about what she is gonna wear.

'God, how come I never saw how irritating she is?'

'Well, you were too busy with her body that you didn't care about her personality. Our mate wasn't so maddening.' his wolf scoffed.

'How do you know?'

'I observed her.'

'Ohh.'

'She is gone though. I can't even feel the bond now since last week.'

'Why is that?'

'I think someone else claimed her.'

The thought of someone claiming his true mate made his fist clench.

But still he just shrugged the feeling off.

He never knew her.

He never took the effort.

She was so ordinary. He never wanted an ordinary mate. So he rejected her.

He does not regret that.

He would see her around the pack sometime. Everytime she would be clumsily walking or standing somewhere awkwardly. She didn't have the grace he wanted.

He hasn't seen her for over a month now. Sometimes he did wonder where she went, the first ween his wolf absolutely went bonkers about his mate not being nearby. Later he just started ignoring Liam until really necessary.

'Maybe she moved packs after I marked Shelby. Good for her, poor kid.' that's the only thing he thought and never thought about her again.

Gabriel tried to woke her up, but she just snuggled into him further.

His body was so hard, yet so soft.

Weird combination.

Gabriel chuckled at his silly girl.

"Love, as much as I would like to lay here with you all day, naked, but we really have to get up or we will be late to your party."

"That is not my party."

Her words were muffled in his chest.

"Yes, it is. David threw the party because of you."

Nitara moved her head up and rested her chin on his chest giving him a smile that always made his breath hitched.

"Do we have to?"

"Yes darling, we do." Gabriel kissed her forehead.

"Now come on, get up and put on some clothes."

Nitara did as he said. Her eyes directly went to the full length mirror in her room.

She has been feeling a bit bloated since yesterday. She saw a little bump in her belly that wasn't there the week before.

"Gabriel?"
