Bucky's POV
"Wow. Where did you find a dress like that, Y/N? I might need to buy one myself. It'll drive Vision crazy!"

I turned around to see Y/N walking into the common area.

My heart jumped as I took in her appearance.

Her dress was a dark black fabric, and it fit her body like a glove. The hem reached her knees, and the top was strapless. She wore a pair of heels that seemed manageable to walk in. Her eyelids were a glittering gold with a light amount of mascara and eyeliner, and her lips were painted a beautiful rose red color. Y/N took my breath away, and I couldn't seem to find the words to tell her, no matter how much I wanted to.

"Thanks, Wanda." She giggled, and did a twirl. "I'm going on a date tonight. For the first time in forever."

My heart dropped, and I looked away quickly. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see her body turn in my direction.

"Buck? How do I look?" She asked, before walking into my line of vision. I smiled softly as I looked at her.

"Stunning." I nod. "He's one lucky guy."

"Thanks." Y/N smiled, before grabbing her purse off of the coffee table in front of me. "I'll be back in a few hours. Don't watch any of The Office without me."

"I won't. Promise." I winked playfully, and she giggled before walking towards the door.

"See you later!" Y/N shut the door behind her, and I turned back to my show playing on the television, my mind only focused on Y/N and whoever the hell her date was.

Someone cleared their throat, and I turned to look at Wanda, who stood with her eyebrow cocked upwards and her arms crossed.

"So... wanna tell me why you let her walk out of here in that outfit, to go out with another guy?"

"Shut up, Wanda." I grumbled as I started to flip through the channels mindlessly. "Y/N's free to go out with whoever she wants. I'm not going to stop her."

"Bucky... you're crazy for her. And, although she asked me not to say anything... she's crazy for you too. Y/N's just too shy to say anything!"

"I think you're just saying that to make me feel better." I give her a fake smile, before shutting of the TV and standing up. "If you excuse me... I have to go train." As I start to walk out of the room, a recording of Y/N's voice began to play.

"Look... I like him, okay? But we both know that he'll never like me. He's simply perfect, and I'm simply... me." She sighed gently through the speaker as I turned back around. "Just don't tell him, okay?"

"Believe me now?" Wanda asked, smirking as she turned off her phone.

"Recording your friends conversations? Nice." I smirked, but feeling a buzz of excitement as I replayed Y/N's words in my head. She liked me. Y/N Y/L/N liked me. I would never have thought she'd think of me more than a friend.

"Come on, Barnes. I'm helping you out." Wanda punched me gently in the arm, and I rolled my eyes. "When she gets back, make your move."

"But what if the date goes well?" I sighed.

"I highly doubt it. It was a Tinder date." Wanda laughed. "Just wait up, and see. She won't be long now."

"I will..." I take a seat again. "And Wanda? Thanks for the help."

"Thank me at your wedding." She mumbles as she walks away.

"What?"

"Nothing."

Y/N's POV
I walked back into the Tower a few hours later, with my heels in hand. The date was a disaster. I can't believe I let Wanda sign me up for Tinder. She thought it was time for me to get out in the dating world, and I had to admit, it was time to move on from my school girl crush on Bucky Barnes. I had liked him for over a year, and the most contact that we had ever had was a hug that he gave me when I returned from a trip this past summer. And I had hoped that this guy, Andrew or whatever the hell his name was, would be the one who would make me forget about Bucky.

But after my encounter with him before I left the Tower, when he looked me over carefully with his blue eyes and he called me stunning, all I could see was Bucky sitting across from me. I had finished the date, but I decided to part ways from the guy after he invited me back to his apartment after. Now here I was, coming back to the Tower and ready to go to sleep.

The elevator doors opened, and I stepped out with a sigh. It was nine thirty, and I expected that everyone was tucked away in their rooms. But one figure made me freeze where I was. "Buck?"

"Hey. How was your date?" He stood up, and walked over to where I was standing. I sighed and shrugged.

"Not the worst. But not the best. "

"Ah, well... it'll get better." Bucky said quietly, a little awkward. I nodded, and started to walk to my room. "Wait! There is something I need to say."

"Yeah?" I asked, as I turned, and my heart started to race as his brilliant blue eyes met mine. He moved closer to me and I backed up until my back was against the wall. His face was inches from mine, and I shivered as his metal hand moved to cup my face in his.

"I... I really like you." His thumb stroked the side of my face, and I smiled softly as my eyes fluttered shut. "And I've wanted to tell you for awhile. But I've been scared."

"I wish you told me earlier." I giggled before I opened my eyes again. "I've liked you for a long time too."

"Wanda told me." Bucky chuckled, and I froze.

"What?"

"She, uh, played a recording of you talking about me." He said quietly, and I sighed, my face burning in shame.

"Oh God."

"No, it's okay." Bucky said quickly, lifting his other hand to my face. "Don't be upset. But I do have one thing to add."

"And what is that?" I asked quietly as I looked up at him.

"You are not just simply you. You are something else, Y/N Y/L/N." Bucky smiled, and I blushed again at his words. "I'm serious. "

"Stop making me blush." I laughed, and he winked playfully.

"But I"m serious." His eyes flashed down to my lips. "Can I... Can I kiss you right now?"

"I was hoping you would ask." I smiled before moving up to touch his lips with mine. He kisses me back gently, and for a few moments, we stayed as we were, only our lips moving in sync with each others. Bucky pulled away, and leaned his forehead against mine.

"Do you... want to go out for dinner tomorrow night? You don't even have to put on make up or high heels. We can go get McDonalds, if you want."

"That sounds amazing." I nod, and smile.

"Great." Bucky kissed me once more before moving back. "I'll see you then, doll."

"Can't wait." I start to walk towards my room, and turned to look back at him over my shoulder. "Good night."
