ACT ONE.JUNE THOMPSON WASN'T A PYROMANIAC.
But for some reason, the flames surrounding The Ark's hope pleased her. The blazes were beautiful, a mix of orange and red, and deadly. She looked to her side, seeing the prince of The Ark wasn't nearly as glad. While her face held a grin, Wells was indifferent. She chose to look back at the tree, watching the ashes fall as she heard the door slam open. Guards poured in, cuffing both of the friends and dragging them out as someone shouted to put out their fire.
If the smoke burned out some of the air, that was fine, June realized. If she was put in the Sky Box, alone and away from the life she once knew, she didn't care. She only knew one thing.
JUNE THOMPSON WAS GOING TO EARTH.
