Chapter 11

I quietly slid open the door and heard running footsteps getting closer and closer until...

"Niisan!!!!"

Both Gaara and Sasuke jumped on me, bringing me down to the floor.

It seemed the boys were getting along well. I just hope Gaara's powers don't kick in too soon.

"How have you two been?" I asked.

"Good! We were just practicing with shuriken" said Gaara.

"Okay. Well you two keep practicing. I need to go see someone. I'll be back in a few" I said.

The two boys waved goodbye as I headed to Shisui's.

Come to think of it, I hadn't been home in weeks. Shisui would be excited to see me.

To surprise him, I decided to knock on the door instead.

He opened the door and dropped the flowers in his hands.

Shisui misses me a lot even after 4 days. He turned his head away and wiped the incoming tears on his face.

"I'm so happy to see you!" he said.

"Me too" I said.

I coughed for a bit.

"You good?" he asked.

"Yeah. Probably just a cold or something" I said.

"You should get that checked out" he said.

"Sure."

"Okay I'm gonna go my father is waiting" said Shisui.

"Okay. Mine probably is too" I said.

I then headed back home and into father's office.

"Hey Itachi. How was your mission?" he asked.

"It was a failure. Something happened to one of the members and Orochimaru got away so we couldn't handle both situations at once" I said.

"Hm."

I then lost my grip to the wall and fell.

"Itachi are you okay" he asked.

"I'm fine."

"By the way, I'm sorry for hitting you so much. I'm very sorry."

"It's fine."

"Father, do you love me?" I asked.

"Of course I do Itachi."

I shrugged my shoulders and left the room.

"Itachi!"

My mother called me from upstairs.

"Yeah?"

"Your father and I are going to take the boys out somewhere. Dinner is in the fridge!"

"Okay."

Shortly after, they left the house, and I was home alone. I guess I could do some reading. After all, I hadn't in a while.

I then decided to ask Shisui if he wanted to come over with a messenger bird.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Itachi?"

I sped down the stairs.

"Hey."

"What's up Itachi?" he asked.

"Not much."

"What do you want to do?" he asked.

"Well, everyone in my house in gonna he gone for the week so you're in charge of me" I said.

Shisui laughed.

Then there was a creak. I ignored it and told Shisui to meet me in my room.

Then, the ceiling fell. So did the stairs and things came toppling down. One of them hit my head, and I was knocked out cold.
