I tried (Itachi Fanfic)

Chapter 3

I heard my window open. It was an ANBU ninja.

"Come, we are getting our missions and squads" he whispered.

I wrote on a note to Sasuke saying I had gone out, and left the note on the table next to him.

The ninja had a mask in his hand.

"Put this on kid" he said.

"Okay, thanks" I said.

"So how old are you? 16? 17?"

"Far from it" I said.

"21?"

"I'm 13" I said.

"Wow you're really young for ANBU. You must be good" he said.

"Not really" I said.

He laughed. "I suppose you must've barely gotten in then" he said.

"I didn't take a test. The Hokage qualified me" I said.

"Wow you must be really good. The Hokage only qualifies a person without a test every 5 years" said the ninja.

I saw that we were close to the Hokage's.

We headed inside and all the ANBU ninja were lined up.

I got on line as the Hokage passed out papers giving us info about our mission and who was on our squads.

Itachi Uchiha

A ranked mission. Find and kill the killer of the 25 Jonin of the Leaf.

Squad: Kakashi Hatake and Genma Shiranui.

No idea who any of these people were but they were probably in their early twenties.

"Everyone get into your squads now!" said the Hokage.

I searched for Genma or Kakashi and I found a guy with shoulder length hair.

"Hey are you Genma?" I asked.

"Yeah. You here for an interview?" asked Genma.

"Uh I'm not a Genin. I'm Itachi Uchiha" I said.

"Oh I'm so sorry! It's just that we usually don't have members that are as young as you" said Genma.

"Hey Kakashi, I found him!" said Genma.

"Hey Itachi, I'm Kakashi Hatake. You'll be joining us on our mission correct?"

"Mmhm."

"Alright. Let's go!"

"Genma is the squad leader. He knows some medical ninjutsu and he has a very kind heart" said the Hokage.

"Kakashi is very strong and is very protective of his comrades."

"Itachi may be young but don't leave him out, he's stronger than most Jonin."

"Ok can we go?" I asked.

The Hokage told us to leave and just like that we went off to who knows where.

Kakashi and I just followed Genma not knowing where we were going.

"So, it seems that we have some people following us" said Kakashi.

There was a flash bomb aimed at me and it worked. I was blinded by it and a follow up explosion happened, but I managed to escape.

I pinpointed the location of the person who threw the bombs and threw a Kunai at him. It hit him and he went toppling to the ground.

"Where is the Jonin killer?" I asked.

"I can kill you right now" I said coldly pulling out my sword.

"He's in the town up ahead" said the ninja shaking.

Genma knocked him out with one punch and teleported the guy to Blood Prison.

"Alright. Let's kick some a**!" said Genma.
