5. meeting his parents

Today I am going to meet Shawn's parents and I'm nervous. He says that they will love you but how can he guarantee that. I am on my way to Shawn's house and my hands are shaking. This is the first time I am going to his house when his parents are there. I knock on the door and I see Shawn he says to me "well hello there do come in." He grabs my hands and leads me in and squeezes it. He looks at me and says "don't worry babe they will love you I promise." He leads you into the kitchen. His mum is there she looks at the both of you and smiles. Shawn wraps his arms around yourwaist from behind. His mum starts to speak " Hey Shawn is this the girl you are always talking about, Y/N It's really nice to meet you." She holds her hand out to shake it. You take her hand and say " hi it's nice to meet you too Mrs Mendes." She smiles and says
" please hun call me Karen." His dad walks in and goes "and please call me Manny we wouldn't want it any other way. " you hear a girls voice and realise it is his sister aaliyah. You two have met before when Shawn had to look after her. He invites you over anytime he has to look after aaliyah so that he isn't doing it alone. Karen says dinner is ready and you all sit did and start talking. You all having a conversation and you feel like you are part of the family. When you finish the meal you say " thank you Karen for a lovely meal." She goes "no problem Y/N it was nothing." You help her clean up while the others get a film ready to watch. You sit in between Shawn's legs with him cuddling you from behind. You phone goes off and you have a message from your mum.

Mum💙 ~ honey it's time for you to come home ok see you soon be safe on your way home love you xxx

You text her back saying I will be safe see you soon xxx.

You tell Shawn and his family and they all had you a hug before you left and said it was nice meeting you and to come again whenever you like. Shawn tells his parents he is going to walk you home. He takes your hand and you walk to your house together. He starts talking " see hun I knew they would love you. My mum told me she loved you and that you were an amazing dinner guest. She thinks you are really good for me and she likes the fact that you are mine. You are her favourite person I have brought home and I barely bring anyone home. She loves you as much as I do and I like that." He smiles at you and side hugs you while walking. "Shawn honestly your family were so nice I loved them. I'm glad you dragged m to meet your parents."
He laughs ad sigh " well here we are at your house I'm gonna miss you." He says with a pouty face. You laugh and say
" I'm going to miss you too but you will see me tomorrow Ok?"
He smiles and leans down to kiss you and you lean in too. You both kiss eachother gently. He pulls away and says "I love you." You look at him and say " I love you too." He give a you a hug and he starts to walk home. You make your way up your path and then you hear him yell "bye beautiful." You laugh and shake your head thinking about the amazing night you had meeting Shawn's parents.
