chapter sixty-four; real life

Reece and I were exhausted.

It was only 6 o'clock in the evening LA time, which is the middle of the night back home.

"I need food."

I chuckle. "You always need food."

"I'm a hungry man."

"You're a hungry boy."

"Boy? Seriously?"

"Yes, boy."

He chuckles.

"Go get us some food. I'll wait here for our suitcases."

"You sure?"

"Yes."

"Okay. I'll be back."

I smile as he walks away, staring at his ass he does so.

It's a good ass.

"You're Connor's sister, right?"

I turn around and smile at the girl who stood by me.

"You're referring to Connor Ball, correct?"

She nods.

"Then that is me."

She smiles.

"Can I get a picture?"

"But I'm not-"

"You're very important to Connor, and it's amazing that I get to meet his sister."

I smile. "Let's get a picture, but I just got off of a long flight and I'm really tired. Sorry if I look bad."

"Nonsense. You're beautiful."

I feel myself blush. "Thanks!"

She pulls her phone out of her back pocket and holds it up, snapping a picture.

"What's your name?"

"Samantha"

"It's nice to meet you."

"What are you doing in LA?"

"I'm on a work trip."

She nods.

"So why are you at the airport?"

"I just got back from visiting my aunt in South Carolina."

"I've always wanted to go there."

"It's beautiful."

I grab mine and Reece's suitcases off of the thing.

"Who else is here with you?"

"Here, I got you a sandwich."

I turn around and smile at Reece.

"Who's this?"

"This is Samantha."

"Hello!"
