shawn's pov
y/n & i are currently at an interview for shawn mendes the album. i really didn't want her to come but andrew said it would be good if she was there since it's good for my image. he said they want to ask her some questions too which i was hesitant at first but just said yes.
i'm just glad her hangover is over. it would have been more difficult if she was still hungover. we are in amsterdam and we had to wake up at 4 am to get a flight from la to here on time. y/n is wearing this bold blue velvet jumpsuit. i wanted to do her in the car so bad but unfortunately my team was there.
we reach the place and get comfortable. that's when a skinny tall tan lady walks in. "hello, i'm brandy. i'll be interviewing you & y/n today." she sits down in the chair across from us. she shakes y/n's hand," hi y/n it's nice to meet you." y/n smiles saying you too.
brandy gets out her note cards & looks at the camera starting the interview. "hey guys so i'm back & today i have the one & only shawn mendes! with of course his lovely girlfriend y/n!"
we both wave at the second camera facing us. i place my hand on y/n's knee feeling the blue velvet. she turns her head towards me resting her head in my shoulder for a spilt second.
"ok so first question, shawn, do you ever think you & y/n will break up? & if you do, i'm available." she winks.
i chuckle shocked at her question. y/n just stays silent.
"no, i know we won't. she's the one for me." i gaze at y/n kissing her cheek. she blushes making my smile grow.
"aww cute. next one is for y/n, is shawn really making you happy? is he actually sweet in real life? i mean i'm sure he spoils you that's why you've become so bratty." she smiles evilly.
i cough not expecting that question. it was a little straight forward & rude but i brush it off. we can get through it.
"yes he is. how he is right now is how he is all the time. there's nothing fake about him." she grabs my hand giving it a light squeeze seeing my disturbing expression.
"cute," brandy flips the card asking the next question in a harsh tone," another one for y/n, how does it feel being by shawn 24/7? i bet you feel invisible & so many people probably ignore you-"
"i'm sorry but what is this?! why the hell are you criticizing my girlfriend? she's done nothing to you!"
brandy's eyes shoot wide. the camera guys don't stop filming but they are shaken.
this girl thinks she has something on y/n & i'm done with it. y/n doesn't need to hear this especially after last night. i can't keep not paying attention. brandy is clearing coming after her & i can't push it away any further.
y/n eyes the floor as water starts to form. i scan her seeing the hurt in her face.
it's time to be a man shawn.
i need to stop pushing issues away when they are clearing hurting my girl.
andrew comes from the side trying to calm me down,"shawn listen-"
"no andrew. she's over here talking about my girlfriend being bratty when she's the only bratty bitch i see here!"
brandy rolls her eyes sending me off the edge. i stand up grabbing y/n's hand," we're leaving." the door shuts behind us while they view dumbfounded. i've never walked out an interview before.
