"Rosemary, should we try and contact this Anna you have talked about?" Amarande asked, turning his attention to me as I let go of the blinds and walked towards the couches on the living room, each occupied with either John or Amarande. I moved towards John and he made room for me.

"Good idea. John, you know where she's staying?" I asked him. He looked at me and then nodded his head.

"Before we figured out who was coming after you she gave me an address to find her at," he said, pulling a piece of folded paper out of his pockets and handing it to me. It was warm from where he was sitting on it.

I opened it up and read it. 312 Reese St. It was local. But wasn't it just a warehouse now? That address used to be a storage company that went out of business ten years ago.

"She lives roughly about nine miles away," I said. "But it's not a house she lives in. It's an empty warehouse. There could be others living with her." I continued, staring down at the paper for a while before putting it in my own pockets.

"We have to be prepared for any surprise attacks. Bring a couple of guns, it couldn't hurt." I got up and went to a closet with coats in it, shoving them aside so they were to both ends of the closet.

The key pad was drilled to the wall. I pushed the code in and a door opened, revealing a room of weapons. It was dusty, I hadn't been in here for a while.

John stood behind me and gasped, putting a hand on my shoulder. I looked back at his open mouth and smirked.

"Like I said, welcome to my life."

I took a step inside of the room and heard John and Amarande following behind me. Likely, he wasn't that surprised, he probably had a bigger room like this back home.

Guns and swords were aligned against the walls, different types of weapons for different types of combat. I walked over to the gun wall, thinking before choosing which one to bring with. I took one off of the holder and threw it at John, who caught it without any hesitation, just surprise from finding out that I had one of these rooms.

Amarande appeared beside me, taking another one off of the wall and putting it in his jeans before handing one to me like the one he had.

"If anything, they are young vampires. It wouldn't take much for us to destroy them." he said quietly before taking one swift glance around the room again. I nodded at his words and motioned for John to follow us out who was still marveling at the room.

I rolled my eyes.

"So this is it?" I asked, looking up at the abandoned building of wood that was beginning to rot. The clouds had taken over the sky, making everything seem gray. The gray wooden warehouse loomed over the tall grass that was surrounding it, making it seem like a place where teenagers would hang out and do drugs.

"It should be. But it seems to me that this is a trap. Who would give you an address to a place like this?" Amarande asked, inclining his head towards the gray building with the metal letters falling off.

"Who cares? We shouldn't be in any danger until tomorrow." I said as I opened the door and stepped out of the car. John and Amarande followed suit.

We each had a gun inside of our clothing somewhere. It wasn't like we would need them, but Amarande always wanted to be thorough, and I agreed with him.

We quietly made our way through the long grass, and I smiled to myself thinking I was lucky that I wore jeans. A creek was nearby, and bugs were all over this place. Why would Anna want to live here? Because it's for free?

My stomach had started to do a little flip, which was a reminder that this is all really happening. The past few days have been me being a little anxious. I hated the feeling.

I made my way through the rest of the grass before coming to a stop in front of a large door made of the same gray wood. Surprisingly, a doorbell had been placed next to it. Amarande and I shared a look before I nodded towards John to ring it. This was already weird.

I could hear footsteps getting closer towards the door, and a few seconds later a blonde head answered, a smile on her face.

"Rose! Braedon!" she said, her face lighting up when she saw who it was. She glanced at Amarande, probably feeling the power that radiated off of him. Her smile dimmed a bit.

"Who's this?" she asked, her voice still perky.

"This is my creator, Amarande." I said to her, she looked him up and down before offering him small but little smile. She was obviously afraid.

"Mind if we come in?" I asked, gaining her attention to look towards me once more. She thought about it for a seconds before opening the door wider, allowing us to see inside. It was dark, but lamps had been place along the boards holding the structure up.

"Sure." she said before gesturing for us to pass her. I was the first to go inside, immediately alert just in case someone was to be here with her.

I looked around. Glass windows were along the sides, making everything turn a little lighter shade of gray. A couch was pressed up against one of the walls, a hole on one side. An old wooden table was in the middle of the room, standing alone as if she was waiting for visitors to show up.

She could have put this whole display up within seconds of us arriving.

My suspicions were in the back of my mind the whole time we were there. John and Amarande thought the same thing as me, I could tell by the look on their faces. We sat down on the creaky wooden chairs, four sitting at the table.

"I'm sorry for the mess here," she apologized. "I haven't found anything to make this a better place. Plus, before I was turned I didn't have money either. I had a house, but I can't go back there. They would know I was different." she said, playing with her fingers like she was nervous.

"Your parents would know you were different?" I asked her. She looked up at me and nodded.

"Posters with my face on them are all over the town. The police are still looking for me." she said and I watched her as she explained that they had been almost everywhere in this city and her old one.

"They will stop looking eventually." I told her.

She only nodded and began playing with her fingers once more. She was nervous, why?

"Why are you so nervous?" I asked her and she looked startled to know that I knew that. Amarande sighed and caught Anna's attention.

"I'm just going to say this. Do you know who created you?" Amarande asked her. She automatically shook her head side to side.

Almost too fast, like she had no choice but to answer no.

"I've been asked this a lot. I don't remember anything from that night." her voice raised. She was lying. Both Amarande and I knew it. John apparently did too, his eyes flashed to her and a glare was sent her way.

Everything just became a whole lot more interesting.
