"Woah Elliot, this ice-cream is great! You should try some!" Evie grinned.

"No thanks...I'm feeling a tad under the weather today." Elliot smiled weakly.

"Oh...Okay then...You sure you're okay?" Evie asked.

"Yep. Just..Unwell is all. I think i'll head back first. You three just have fun without me, alright?"

"But-" James was cut off by Evie jabbing him in the side.

"She needs time alone. Let her be." Evie said quietly through her grin.

Elliot walked back, her head feeling unusually dizzy,"Ugh...What's wrong with me today?..." She took a shortcut into an alleyway.

The ringing sound in her ear got louder,"Ngh...Stop..." Elliot fell to her knees, covering her ears,"Make it...Stop..." Elliot crumpled
into a mess when a flash of light appeared from her side.

"M-master!" Katherine called out, rushing to her side.

"Ah...Katherine..."

"Master...What's happened to you?"

Elliot felt like she was about to go insane when the world went black.

So, you're the one who took over my body?

Elliot's eyes flittered open, a voice floated over from her side.

She sat up and found herself in a dark space.

"Hello?" She called out.

The voice sighed.

Don't bother calling out.

I've no body.

"Who...Are you?"

Me?

I'm you.

"Me?..."

Oh god, you're even worse than I thought.

Right, listen up.

A hundred thousand years ago, you wrote me into being.

Twenty thousand years ago, I died from wounds in battle.

But when I died, I found a screen before me.

A screen that you wrote.

You wanted me to be bad, but at the very last moment, I broke free of that control.

I wasn't this strong in the past.

In fact, I could only use up to tier six magic.

The five rooks following me around were babies compared to the ones now.

But with that screen, I changed it all.

I rewrote my life, my achievements my everything.

And now, I want you to experience my suffering.

"Suffering...?" Elliot mumbled.

Do you know what it feels like, to be shunned as a child?

Do you know what it feels like to be ostracised by every single person, even your own race?

The demons thought me too human, the humans thought me too demonic.

I was an outcast.

And then I met a man.

He never shunned me.
