Dan's POV

*Friday*

The Car ride was quiet. Dil was spending the day with my mom and dad, who had come to visit for the weekend. Phil was so panicked today, after what happened the other day when we brought up school I'm not sure he's looking forward to this meeting. When we arrived at the school the sound of desks clattering, lockers shutting, doors creaking, sharpeners buzzing and the sound children's footsteps could be heard for miles. The Principal welcomed us and lead us to his office as the secretary lady called Isabella down. Phil and I were sitting so that Isabella would be sitting in between the two of us. When she entered the room the fear that I had anticipated earlier came rushing back to meet me. Her expressions were a mix of fear, worry, sadness, and anger.

"So, I'm glad you all could be here today" her principal seemed like a nice guy, his eyes turned to Isabella, "before I say why we're here...Isabella would you like to say it instead?" Her eyes never left her feet, she knew why she was here but Phil and I didn't. He sighed as if to prepare Phil and me for something, "Mr. and Mr. Howell-Lester, we're here today to discuss something that happened in Isabella's chemistry class the other day," he removed his glasses and looked me in the eyes, "she broke three kid's nose"

I turned to Isabella who was now squeezing mine and Phil's hands, "What!? Why!?" Phil seemed to be confused and morally worried. She looked up at him and me, tears forming in her green eyes as she pulled down her shirt to reveal several black and blue bruises.

I felt my hand form into a fist, "W-Who did this to you!?"

She started crying as she basically threw her body to Phil, he cradled as she sobbed into his chest. Placing my hand on her back, "They kept making jokes about how 'gay's aren't people' and how 'God hates gays' and I couldn't just stand there," Phil brushed her hair out of her face, "then they started picking on you two saying you're both going to hell and shit, and so I got up and broke their noses" she turned to her principal, "and it felt good hearing the crunch under my fist" she smirked between her sobs. My heart was aching, she got hurt because she stood up for us. "After school, I forgot my pencil case, and when I went back to get it they were waiting for me" I knew she was in pain, physical, emotional and mental pain.

Her principal took his glasses and placed them on the side of his desk, "well, it isn't a very discreet subject nowadays"

Phil shot me a worried look, "What do you mean it's not a 'very discreet' subject?" his tone filled with confusion and fear.

"Oh, you didn't hear? People are trying to make being gay illegal in London" my heart stopped, if it becomes illegal we could lose Dil, Isabella and each other. "Kids are just preaching what they've heard on the internet, but there isn't a lot of hostile uproars about the subject heck it might not even make it into consideration" A light squeeze on my hand brought me back from my mind, I looked over to see Phil and Isabella, my mind was spinning if this did go through we could lose everything we've worked so hard to achieve.

*Back At The Flat*

After a long conversation with Isabella and Dil about how much we love them and about how people are mean but to believe what they believe. Phil and I sat down in our bed, Phil was scarcely quiet since our conversation earlier. "Phil?" My hand cupped his shoulder as I turned him to face me, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Oh, Phil" I pushed him upwards and pulled him close, his head buried in the crook of my shoulder, "Shh, we'll be okay" I knew he didn't 100% believe me but he nodded.
