Regret (Hetalia) (Pt. 2)

Standing in the door way was his big brother Gillan. He couldn't remember the last time he was this excited to see his big brother. Gillan closed the door behind him, sitting in the chair that was across the bed.

"I'm happy to see you," Lutz told his brother, making Gillan blink in surprised. Was he sure this was his little brother? Lutz would never say that.

"Are you Ludwig and not Lutz?" Gillan asked.

"Nein. I'm really Lutz," he said.

"Are you trying to get out because I'm not falling for it little bro. You've got to stay in here."

"Ja, I know."

Gillan was starting to get worried about his little brother. Something was going on. He never acted this way before. When he came before they argued over everything. Something must be on his mind. That's all that can explain this. Though what came out of his brother's mouth really surprised the old country.

"How's Luci doing?" Lutz asked.

"Um... he's doing good. I think him and Karu are out shopping today. Why?"

"I was just thinking about him."

"Lutz what is going on?"

"I... I saw Ludwig outside my window," Lutz admitted. "I saw how happy he was. He was actually hanging out with his Italy and Japan. He didn't hit them or yell at them. Feli and Kiku seemed to be happy. They all looked so happy together. Even the Allies came out and joined them. I... I want to change Gillan!" he said, looking up at his brother. For the first time in a long time Gillan saw a sight he thought he would never see on his brother's face: regret. "I want to be different. I don't want to be cruel and mean any longer. I have to change. Luci and Karu deserve the world and they need a Germany! Every other group has one but mine! Because I'm a terrible human being."

Lutz looked down, trying to hold back his tears. Everything hurt right now. It hurt to know all the pain he caused people who could have been his friends. How scared Luci always looked when he passed by. How Karu never looked him in the eyes. How Oliver always tried to poison him. How Francois always pulled his sons and husband close to him. How Allen always tried to hit him with his bat. How Ion glared daggers into his back. How Yang looked ready to spit on the ground he walked on. How he always hurt his family. How could he do that? He was a monster just like Luci said.

Gillan stood up, smiling a bit. He had a plan. One that would probably backfire on him but a plan was a plan! He told his brother he wold be right back and rushed out, getting straight to work.

"He wants to do what now?" Oliver asked, crossing his arms. The look on his face told Gillan that he did not believe a word he said. This was going to be the hardest part: getting the G8 to agree to his plan. Well this was more like the G7 since Lutz wasn't around.

"Lutz wants to change?" Ion asked before laughing. "Yeah, and I want to give up vodka."

"I'm telling the truth!" Gillan snapped at them. "You didn't see his face! He looked like he was about to sob!"

"Are we talking about the same person?" Yang asked.

"Would you all just listen?" Gillan pleaded. "I have a way for him to change but I need you all to help me. He's got to see the light and if we don't do this than he won't ever change!"

"I don't think he wants to change at all," Allen spoke up, cleaning his teeth.

"I have to agree," Karu also spoke up. "I was his second favorite punching bag. I don't believe that man has far has I can throw him."

"No kidding," Luci mumbled, holding onto his sides. "I can still feel what his fist to my face and sides feel like. He's never going to change."

"And how do we know until we try?" the French accent rang through out the room. Gillan was so glad Francois was part of the G8 at that moment in time. "I don't want to trust him either. But do we have any right to talk about what Lutz can and can't do. Oliver when you got on this island you were locked in your room too. No one but one person believed you could change. No one but Mama believed we had any good in us. But here we are now, good guys and helping our 1ps out. Maybe Lutz won't change. But we have no right to turn our backs to him and not try. He's done cruel things and I want to punch him for what he did to my little brother but I will help him change. Count me in Gillan."

The room was silent for what felt like hours to Gillan. Slowly Oliver sighed, looking defeated.

"I hate when you are right," Oliver grumbled to his husband. "I'll help in any way I can."

"I did do some terrible things to Ivan and his kids," Ion mumbled to himself. "Maybe Lutz needs a helping hand right now."

"Ah man, count me in, I can't say no when my parents are," Allen joked with a smile. "I'll help the guy out if I can."

"Agreed," Yang said with a small smile. That was all the Allies. Karu sat up, clearly still thinking. Gillan really loved that the Allies were on board but he really needed the other two members of the Axis Trio if he really was going to get through to Lutz.

"Count me in," Karu finally told them. "It would be nice to have Lutz has a friend instead of an enemy."

All eyes turned to Luci. He was the key piece to this. He was the Italy after all. Every Italy needed a Germany. Feli had Ludwig. Angelo had Lutor. Even the nyo versions were close! He needed Luci. Luci rolled up his sleeves, looking at old scars and old bruises.

"Lutz really hurt me," Luci told Gillan. "He took almost everything from me. He destroyed me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I'm just now healing from the effects of him." Gillan felt his shoulders drop. He's going to say no. I know it. Yet to everyone's surprise, Luci stood up. "So now I'm going to do what that bastard never thought I was going to do: I'm going to change him. Not for him though. For everyone else. I'm never going to forgive that bastard. Ever."
