Dika sat on her front porch, watching her dogs and moose run around the hard has she sipped her hot chocolate. The seven huskies were enjoying chasing one another and every once in a while tackling the little moose has if she was their prey. It made the Alaskan chuckle to watch her pets play. It had been a quiet day and she was glad for it. Looking at the beauty of her own state made her smile. The little creek running by her small cabin and the forest at the back filled the air with a nice scent. Bears were trying to catch fish from the creek and paying little attention to the owner or her pets. A few hides were hanging up near the house from yesterday's hunt, drying so Dika could make a coat for her friend Marco. Since she knew he started to hang out more at Matthew's place, he was going to need a heavy coat for his visits.

She yawned a little, standing up and walking inside with her cup. She left the door open for her little troublemakers to run in when they were done playing. The only one that followed her was Rita, trailing right after her. Dika sat down in a room, picking up a bone of a grizzly bear. She looked at it, wondering what she could use it for or if she should sell it down the street to the shop. When Dika didn't need a bone or couldn't think of something to use it for, she usually sold it down at local shops so they didn't go to waste. Or she gave it to an animal that needed it for food or their teeth. She hated to waste things of an animal after all. She put it in the box to go to the store and looked around. She picked up a log she picked up the other day and sat it on her work table.

Dika looked at it, wondering what she could do with it. She looked at the date and thought. She smiled and grabbed her knife and went to work, carving the log until it was just the way she wanted it. She grabbed some paint and painted her creation, bring it even more to life. She grinned, looking at the bunny with wings on it, the blue color coming out. Compared to the real Blueberry, it looked pretty close. It wasn't too bad for someone who had never before seen the rabbit. She knew Alex would love the gift of her bunny and love it even more that Dika had made it by hand. Her best friend loved seeing the wonderful things Dika made out of almost nothing. After all, this bunny had just been a dirty old log just minutes ago.

After doing a few more projects and some paper work, Dika walked to her room and laid down. She fell asleep to the sound of water flowing past rocks, the wind pushing branches, and just the normal sound of Alaska itself. She smiled in her sleep, glad to have a normal Alaskan day finish with an amazing night.
