Daniels POV
I watched as Alexia played a game on her phone. She was very in tune.
"UGH!" She yelled once she lost. "This close! I was this close!" She said turning to me.
"Are you OK?" I ask chuckling
"Yes I'm fine" she said in a low tone.
"OK" I say
"I'm sleepy" she says trying to get comfortable in the chair she was sitting in.
She tossed and turned, but no luck.
"Come on" I say scooting over in the hospital bed and parting beside me.
"Really? I mean, I don't want to invade your space or anything like that." She says
"Its fine, I'm cool wit it." I say
"Okay.." She says hesitantly
She climbs on the bed and lays beside me, laying her head on my shoulder.
"Thanks Benito" she says
"Who?" I ask confused
"Its a nickname I gave you when I was 10." She explains
"Oh. What does it mean?" I ask interested
"Benito was a Latino prince. So since your like a prince to me, and your Puerto Rican, I call you Benito." She said
"Oh OK" I say.
"Yeah" she says.
I lay there listening to her breathing get slower and slower, until its at a comfortable pace. With my arm around her shoulder and her head on my chest, she falls asleep.
"I wish I could remember you" I whisper to Alexia. Knowing she's asleep and that she can't hear me.
A few minutes pass by and I decide to get my phone out.
Maybe there's some stuff in here that will help me remember her.
I scroll through my phone, and come across pictures of Alexia that she clearly took, pics of us together, and pics I randomly took of her.
Wow! I really hope I remember what we had.
I go to messages and look at some of the last messages I sent to Alexia.
Me: I'm sorry!
Me: Come on Lex, we can fix this.
Me: Alexia, stop leaving me on read.
Me: plz, I can't be without you.
Me: I love you.
What happened between us? What did I do?
With that thought on his mind Daniel fell asleep.
*Dream*
I help Alexia get out of the car, and she almost fell, but me being the hero, I caught her.
"You really are falling for me" I say smirking
"Oh hush!" She sys laughing before kissing my cheek.
"I love you" tell her kissing her lips
"I love you more" she says looking into my eyes after the kiss broke.
I smiled and we headed into Zaxby's
*End of dream*
We were more than just "best friends" ?
