Blair's POV

After Luke left, I tried regaining my composure. I had to, before mom would show up. I know now that Luke talked to our parents, and they were on his side.

I looked at the pocket knife, I should hide this. I got up and walked to my bedside table, I put it in there. It's not really hidden, but it's not in plain sight either.

I walked to mom's bedroom and entered.

Mom immediately looked at me. She saw my face, which had clear marks of crying, and seemed to know what had happened. "Come." She pulled away the sheets for me to get in.

I got in bed and laid down immediately, my eyes closing as soon as I hit the pillow. I was tired. Emotionally and mentally. I... I just couldn't anymore.

I felt mom caress my head slowly, I wonder what she's thinking. I wonder if she even understands the situation. But I couldn't blame her if she didn't, I'm not telling her anything either.

"Sweet dreams, sweetie." She whispered and leaned in, kissing my head softly. That was actually something I really needed. Mom's affection.

I slowly opened my eyes. "Thank you, mom." I whispered before closing my eyes again, I turned on my side and tried sleeping.

The next day I woke up and saw I was alone. I was alone?

I slowly sat up, I looked around the room and indeed saw I was alone. Where was mom? She'd never leave me alone. Unless...

I got up and slowly made my way out of the room. I walked towards the stairs where I heard mom.

"You have to explain it better."

I slowly made my way down, trying my best not to make any sounds. I went as far as I could and tried getting a look of what was happening.

I saw mom, dad, Luke and... Rachel? They were all talking. Mom and dad sat down while Luke was standing to their right and Rachel to their left.

Rachel was visibly upset, she seemed stressed and uncomfortable. What were they talking about that made her this way?

"I'm telling you, it just happened." Rachel said.

Luke groaned. "Don't you say the same thing as Blair."

"Maybe we say the same thing because that's how it is." She looked at my parents. "Luke never, not once, tried listening to his sister. I did. I was there for her and - "

"Yes, now I know what you mean by that." Luke huffed.

Rachel glared at him. "At least I did something!" She looked back at my parents. "Blair needed someone, someone she could talk to about her problems. The problems his terrible friends caused her. All the bad things that happened were his friends' fault. But he's too blind to see that."

"It's not them! Blair's trying to make us believe that." Luke said.

Rachel laughed humorless. "Do you hear what you're saying? That's ridiculous!"

"Hold on," mom said, stopping Rachel and Luke's argument. Mom looked at Rachel. "Blair said the same thing," She started to which Rachel nodded. "Why do both of you accuse his friends?"

"Because they don't like Blair, for some reason." Rachel looked at Luke. "And I warned you countless times about that but you refused to see it. They're no good. They openly talked bad about her, when we were sitting with them. And you did nothing." She shook her head. "That's not right."

"Luke, is this true?"

Luke shook his head to Rachel, then looked at mom and dad. "She's lying, they're both lying. My friends would never do that."

Rachel facepalmed herself. "I give up. I tried my best for you, Luke."

"Oh so now you're breaking up with me?"

Rachel looked at him, slowly nodding. "If you're not willing to defend your sister than I can't stay with you. That's not the kind of person I want to be with."

"No, you'd rather have the sad and depressing kind."

"Luke!"

At that moment I sniffled, a little too loud because suddenly they all looked at me.

"Blair?" Rachel immediately hurried to me. But I ran back upstairs, I didn't want to see anyone.

I ran to my room and, once I entered, locked the door. I slid down the door and cried.

I heard Rachel at the door, she was knocking. "Blair, open up." She kept knocking. "Please, open up."

I hesitated for a while but decided to get up. I unlocked the door, to which Rachel immediately entered the room. She pulled me in for a hug and held me close to her. I was crying on her shoulders.

"It's ok," She caressed my back. "I've got you." She rocked us both a little.

We stayed like that for what felt like hours. Eventually she pulled back and caressed my face. She slowly wiped away my tears.

"Were you listening for a long time already?" she asked to which I slowly nodded. "I'm sorry you had to hear that."

I sniffled. "Luke hates me."

"He hates me too now, that's because his feelings are hurt." She kept caressing my face. "Don't take it too personal, he's not himself right now."

"But he said mean things."

"I know," She pulled me back in for a hug. "But that's not him right now, ok? Keep reminding yourself that."

I nodded. "I don't like this version of him."

"I know," She sighed. "It's my fault, all of this." She said to which I pulled back a little, to look at her face. "I was his girlfriend and I cheated on him," She caressed my face again. "With his sister..."

"I'm sorry."

She smiled a little. "You shouldn't be so attractive."

I looked down, blushing.

She made me look at her again. "Listen," She caressed my face. "I hurt Luke a lot, I hurt you in that way as well. I'm hurt too..." She took a moment before continuing. "And for that reason, I think it's better if I keep my distance. Just for a bit."

I gulped. She was going to leave me? "How long?"

"I don't know." She sighed. "I don't want this, but it's better."

I looked down. "I don't want that."

"I know," She pulled me in for a hug. "But I need it too." She kissed my head. "This was too much drama."

I closed my eyes and kept hugging her. Trying my best to forget about everything that's happening right now.
