chapter 2 silence is golden ( if there was any)

So... That's my life story, back to the present.

My dark matted hair flopped across my face as I looked up. My focus began to come back. There was another guy next to Seth. Seth was standing their gaping and the other boy was just grinning. I'm not sure if he was on our side or not but if he wasn't on our side he hadn't made his move yet.

He was tall but looked about my age, maybe a little younger. He seemed 15, (Obviously younger than Seth who was 269). He had light brown hair, almost blonde and bright green eyes. He looked almost opposite to Seth, besides height.

For a few seconds we all stayed there in amazement. None of us said a word. Then the other boy spoke. "We'll, isn't anyone gonna congratulate me." We stayed silent. Finally I decided to break the tension but all I could manage was a "huh?" Then he laughed "Yeh, It will have that effect on people." Seth still stayed silent so I spoke again "what has what effect? Who are you?" the boy sighed. "O.K. my name is Tristan. I'm a demon... I mean human. I just conjured up a spell that saved your life. The spell may have the effect of drowsiness, loss of focus and words but it'll all come back to you. Simple."

I thought for a second, a spell? Plausible I suppose, but why did he say he was a demon. Accidental. All sorted, I guess?

"Okay?" I replied. Tristan spoke "well I guess that's all sorted. Now can we all go home and sleep I'm tired."

Finally Seth stuck his oar in and spoke to Tristan. "So you're saying that you just happened to come along and save our lives, are you?" Great. Just what we need, more trouble.

Tristan spoke "One, I never actually said why I came to save her life." He said pointing at me. I gulped "and two, isn't it a good thing that I saved your lives."

Seth rolled his eyes and spoke "maybe I would rather be dead than talking to you."

Tristan spoke "What are you talking about? You are dead! You're a vampire!"

Seth spoke. "I didn't need to be reminded of it. And by the way I'm the undead there's a difference you know." I put my hand to my head and groaned.

Tristan spoke "You can tell that you're a vampire..."

Seth interrupted "what the fangs aren't a dead giveaway."

Tristan spoke "I was gonna say that the clothes you wear are way out of fashion but you kind of ruined that joke."

Seth spoke "What do you know about fashion, you're wearing trainers, jeans, a t-shirt and a cowboy hat!"

Tristan spoke "actually I found this hat, and I think it looks quite cool."

I can't take it anymore. They're both acting like two year olds. "SHUT UP!" I screamed at the top of my voice. Silence fell and then a dog started barking. I had forgotten that we were in the park. It may be night but there were still people asleep in houses.

They both had straight faces but a few seconds after a stupid grin crept onto Tristan's face. I quickly said something before he made, yet another, stupid comment. I've had enough of Tristan speaking, Seth speaking, Tristan, Seth, Tristan...

Tristan spoke "he started it."

I've had enough of this rubbish. "Just, shut up. Can you please just explain why you were here and then we can all go home."

He took a deep breath and sat down. Wait. He sat down? "Why are you on the floor?" I asked. "It's a long story." He replied. Me and Seth joined him. The grass was wet but that didn't matter because I had been through worse. Come on, wet grass? Then He began his story.

"umm." Great, I thought. "Err." I sighed. I don't know how Seth wasn't punching him there and then. "Huh. Well. It all started a few days ago. I was walking down Redfish Street minding my own business. All of a sudden. This guy jumps me." Seth interrupted "what time of day was this?" Tristan rolled his eyes "The middle of the day. I don't usually go creeping around at night." He took, yet another, deep breath. I should be the one taking deep breaths. Not him!

"Anyway, next thing I knew, I found myself in this metal prison place. I must have been knocked unconscious or something, because I don't know how I got there." He paused and thought for a second. "Oh yeah, then I met this guy and he helped me escape." Seth gave Tristan a look, "glad you could be so detailed". Tristan smiled "Thank you. Ok so he told me that I had to find you." He pointed at me and stood up. Me and Seth gave each other the same look. "Was that it?" I questioned. "Yep." he replied, and with that he began marching down the path.

"Where do you think you're going?" cried Seth. "Home!" shouted Tristan. I shrugged and was about to turn round when I heard a scream. I swivelled, me and

Seth sprinted towards the cry. When we got there we saw Tristan but he wasn't alone.
