2nd stage

(Yeah I'm skipping the first stage entirely bc nothing was more boring than that Lol, sorry if that's annoying)

"Sakura!" Sasuke barely managed to grab Sakura's hand as a wind blast tote through the section of the forest of death that they were in.

Naruto only flexed his red chakra to maintain his position.

Once it died down Orochimaru stood in front of them. "Kukuku, I hear you can make use of my mark, Sasuke-kun... care to show me?"

Sasuke glared and looked over to Naruto, both their eyes were red. "Sasuke, go into sage mode. Without more of Kurama's power we cant beat him."

Sasuke nodded and tapped into the natural chakra his mark had absorbed. Black filled the whites of his eyes and his sharingan turned yellow.

"Oh? I wasn't expecting you to use the mark like a battery for sage chakra to enter Sage mode faster, impressive Sasuke-kun. Maybe I won't have to hold back after all." Orochimaru blurred forward, only to be met in the middle by Sasuke who threw a flying spin kick to the side of the snake sannin's head and breaking it into mud.

Naruto used his red lightning to boost his own speed and strength, though not quite as high as Sasuke's in sagemode.

Orochimaru cursed as two genin were forcing him back. These little brats...

Sakura tried to enter the fray but Orochimaru summoned a large snake that attempted to eat her, however just as it got close Sasuke appeared in front of her and used his chidori to cut off the jaw of the snake.

Sasuke smiled at her confidently. "Sakura stay back, I don't want you getting hurt, okay?"

Then he was gone, the branch he'd been standing on splintering as he launched himself back towards the fight.

Sakura was overwhelmed by his impressive power and the scale he and Naruto were fighting at. I'm useless... I've always been a weakling... there was an explosion of wind as Naruto used his rasengan and slammed it into a giant tree. Sasuke grabbed his shirt and hurled Naruto at Orochimaru, faster than she could even see.

The attack missed but she could see Orochimaru having a hard time against her teammates. No more! I may not be a prodigy like Sasuke-kun or have a bijuu backing me up like Naruto... but I'm a shinobi!

Sakura pulled a handful of shuriken and hurled them at the snake Sanin. They weren't enough to kill him, or even hurt him under normal situations but with him having to defend against the two most overpowered genin she had ever seen she managed to Nick his shoulder with one, getting him to turn an angry eye towards her.

Sasuke saw Orochimaru look at a determined Sakura just as his feet hit the side of a tree. His eyes widened as he kicked off and channeled chakra to his right hand. "One thousand birds!" Black and white lightning coated his palm as he rocketed towards Orochimaru.

The snake Sanin heard him at the last second and moved, but not enough.

The black lightning blade cut off his arm at the shoulder, spraying blood out.

Sasuke landed in front of Sakura and glared back at Orochimaru. "Don't you ever look at her, Snake..." Sasuke had a fierce look in his pale yellow sharingan that made even the legendary Orochimaru pause in fear for a moment.

Orochimaru then opened his mouth wide and another him crawled out, leaving the old damaged Orochimaru on the ground. "Very impressive, Sasuke-kun. You nearly have that level mastered. I actually crafted that seal specifically for you, you know. Observe. Curse seal: level two... activate."

Fiery pain exploded from Sasuke's mark as he fell to his knees. His canines sharpened to points, his sharingan began spinning wildly, the pale yellow became more vibrant, and a pair of dark hawk like wings the same color as his hair grew from his back and tore his shirt open. He trembled at the massive flow of power in his body and glared at Orochimaru.

"Curse seal of the angel of Death... I'm quite proud of it, the benefits are only this powerful because of your natural affinity for nature chakra." Then he tossed the scroll they needed to Sasuke. "A gift, for not exploding just now, Sasuke-kun. You need to become more powerful."

Then Sasuke's vision went black.
