Kakashi confirmed that Zabuza was dead by pressing two fingers to his neck and feeling for a pulse. "He's dead."

Sasuke felt his body suddenly weaken and cursed, powering his Chidori up enough to be that hot had drained all his senjutsu chakra.

A hunter nin landed in front of the group and Naruto looked at him skeptically, but not with anger. "He doesn't have a hateful bone in his body..."

Sasuke looked to Naruto, whose face was contorted with anger and something akin to frustration. "Naruto, are you o-"

"Shut up, human." He growled out harefully.

Sakura stepped toward Naruto angrily. "Sasuke just saved us, why are you so pissed all of a sudden?!?!"

Naruto's eyes turned to her and she involuntarily took a step back. "I shouldn't need saving, I am the Demon of konoha, I have more chakra than any of the past hokage's and a partner who can increase my power to unparalleled limits. If not for the seal, I'd be a god." Naruto's arms shook with rage before he breathed out heavily and turned to look at the hunter nin, only to find him gone. "Let's just get moving."

Naruto began walking in the direction of Tazuna's house, everyone following with Naruto's words on their minds.

Tazuna pushed open his door, getting a surprised buy happy shout of "Dad!" From a young woman with brown hair and eyes.

"Hey Tsunami, these are the ninja I hired. Don't let their ages fool ya now, they're super strong. Already saved my life twice today." He pointed to his empty bottle. "We don't have anymore booze do we? I wanna drink some of my stress away."

Tsunami shook her head. "Inari poured them out, something about you being annoying when you're drunk."

"Inari, you little bastard!" Tazuna yelled in annoyance.

Inari stepped out of his room. "Why did you bring these ninja? They'll just die."

Kakashi shook his head. "Tsunami-san, do you have somewhere I can rest? The technique I used placed a great deal of stress on my body."

She nodded and escorted him to a guest room.

Naruto pushed the outside door open roughly.

"Naruto, where are you going?" Sasuke asked, hoping his teammate wouldn't do anything rash.

Naruto didn't turn back. "Training."

Naruto sprinted into the forest and immediately sat down. "Kurama...I know you said it could kill me, but I wanna try and strain the seal."

The power of my chakra could make you implode on yourself, or even drive you insane...

"I don't care! I need your power,your rage! I'm....I'm falling behind....I can't keep up with even Sasuke...how will I achieve my goal?" Tears sprang from his eyes in frustration.

I may not can give you the four tails it would take to beat his ability, but....maybe I can push enough to use one tail for now.

Naruto smiled. "Thank you, Kurama...."

Then Naruto felt a surge of heat and an explosion of red chakra from his midsection. The grass was blown away from his feet with the sheer air pressure.

Naruto grunted, he felt like a balloon swelling with very hot air, thanks to the seal only releasing a little.

A red aura surrounded Naruto, his muscles flexed at the extreme power pumping through them, and he leaned over clenching his fists so hard that blood seeped from between his fingers.

Finally, the pain let up a little and a single ethereal tail formed, increasing his power greatly. Then the strain became too much and he fell unconcious.

Sasuke sped through the forest, searching for Naruto, problem was the Kyuubi's chakra laced the air and made it impossible to pinpoint the source.

"Kukukuku....you're already stronger than I thought...." Sasuke stopped on a branch at the sound of the voice.

He activated his sharingan, trying his best to disregard the red chakra in the air. "Where are you? What do you want with me?"

A man stepped out next to him, materializing from the trunk of the tree. "I want to kill you and take your eyes, boy. Entertain me."

The man was tall, pale as snow, long slick black hair, pale yellow eyes with slit pupils, purple pigmentation around his eyes.

Sasuke jumped away, hurling several shuriken.

The man nimbly dodged each one, then in a practiced motion spit out a sword and caught it.

Sasuke pulled a Kunai and focused his lightning chakra into the blade, then hurled it at the man, only to have it cut neatly in half by the impressive looking sword.

"Fool, the kusangi can cut through anything..." The man sneered.

Sasuke poured lightning chakra into his right palm. "Kusangi huh? That makes you Orochimaru, right? Fine, you want my eyes? You'll have to take them!!!"

Sasuke hoped that by using chakra extensive attacks he'd alert Kakashi...
