Sasuke sat atop one of the highest beams on the bridge, keeping watch with his sharingan. Naruto was leaning against a metal beam, Sakura was walking with Kakashi and Tazuna, listening to the old Bridge builder talk to his workers.

Then Sasuke narrowed his eyes and stood, ready for the fight he could see heading their way. A thick fog was surrounding the bridge from all directions, which would normally be a familiar sight. Unfortunately, there was chakra in that fog. "Kakashi-sensei they're here!" Naruto's eyes snapped open and showed off glowing red eyes with slit pupils.

Kakashi nodded and pulled his head and up, revealing his sharingan. "Sakura, stay with the bridge builder no matter what."

A voice came from all directions in the fog, likely bouncing off the chakra. "Last chance, Kakashi. Save your team and leave, or I'll kill all of you."

"Come on Zabuza, you know what my answer will be. Let's just get this over with." Kakashi was looking around, trying to find Zabuza but having no luck.

"HehehehahahHAHAHA! Who said you were my first target Hatake?"

Sasuke turned, just in time to see the Demon of the mist himself standing behind him, swinging his massive sword. Sasuke poured chakra into his legs and jumped, spinning himself with the flat of the blade as it sailed by and tossing a kunai at Zabuza using the momentum from the spinning as added power.

Zabuza lazily caught the kunai and hurled it back at Sasuke, who barely managed to avoid being skewered but took a shallow cut on his right side.

Sasuke landed on the bridge near Naruto."We need a plan."

Naruto nodded. "Might have to use that sword."

"I haven't trained with it, at this point it'll only be a liability." Sasuke responded, eyeing Haku with his sharingan.

"After the last little escapade, Zabuza-sama deemed it appropriate for us to get a little help from another party." Haku spoke taking off his kimono, revealing his black fighting gear and putting on his mask.

A man landed next to Haku. He was tall, lean with muscle, had short white hair, and purple eyes. He wore a purple muscles muscles muscleshirt and white pants with black ninja sandals. He had a sword attached to his belt and strung behind him where he could grab it in a reverse grip. "Names Suigetsu, trainee of the Seven Swordsmen of the Bloody Mist."

"Sasuke, get the sword out and fight him. Your sharingan will let you keep up and learn excellent sword techniques from this human." Naruto's eyes were red and he had a light amount of red chakra around him.

Sasuke nodded and held a hand over the seal on his belt, instantly the Kusangi appeared in his hand.

Suigetsu's eyes widened. "That's a legendary sword!"

Sasuke gripped the hilt with both hands, finding the grip slightly smaller than what would be comfortable with both hands.

Suigetsu laughed. "And you've got no idea how to use it!" He drew his own sword and held it in reverse grip, letting it drape across his back.

Sasuke watched the more experienced sword nin as he tensed, ready for a fight.

Suigetsu spun his sword in his hand, catching it with the tip barely touching the ground.

Sasuke's sharingan copied the maneuver easily and he ended up similarly.

Suigetsu's eyebrow raised. "A moment ago you were clearly inexperienced, now you're good enough to do that? Seems those eyes are quite handy."

Sasuke blinked, and immediately had to block as Suigetsu had closed the distance  and was trying to cut Sasuke in half in an upward motion.

Sasuke's sharingan slowed down the attack but his body couldn't keep up with his eyes and he took a slice to his chest. Sasuke cursed and tried stabbing at Suigetsu with his Kusangi.

Suigetsu spun on his heel, allowing the blade to pass by and he backhanded Sasuke with his free hand.

Sasuke spit out a little blood and tried had to block a spinning overhead strike. The blow was too strong though and Sasuke was forced to his knees and disoriented.

"Too bad kid!" Suigetsu yelled, going in for the final blow.

Sasuke caught the blade with his free hand, blood from the fresh cuts on his hand dripping down the blade. When Sasuke looked up, Suigetsu found that Sasuke now had black markings over his body and his sharingan was spinning. Purple chakra began to build up around Sasuke and Suigetsu had to jump to dodge a lightning fast kunai.

Suigetsu landed several dozen feet away, eyeing Sasuke as Sasuke pushed himself up to his feet.

Suigetsu smirked. "Not like you can hurt me, I'm actually made of water and will automatically turn into water to avoid damage. Also I can control large quantities of water easily."

In response Sasuke did the handsigns for the strongest jutsu Kakashi had taught him.

_______flashback________

"Remember Sasuke. This jutsu is an assassination technique. I know you are hesitant to make your first kill... but that's exactly why I want you to know this jutsu." Kakashi stood next to a very tired Sasuke with bandages on his hands.

Sasuke looked at him curiously. "You want me to start killing people?"

"No. Not for no reason....except to protect your comrades, even from themselves. I think if you were given a choice to save your comrades, or finish an important mission for the village you'd-"

"Save my comrades." Sasuke interupted, making Kakashi smile beneath his mask.

"Exactly, kiddo. You're better than me in that regard, just like my father and sensei. In any case, this jutsu isn't the same as the chidori. It's the Raikiri, the lightning blade."

________back at the bridge_______

Sasuke's hand became encased in lightning but it looked different than the chidori, more like a spear tip sticking from his palm made of solid lightning with arcs of electricity coming from him and going in all directions.

Suigetsu cursed. "That easy to figure out my weakness, huh?"
