New Beginning: Anna

I slept until the next day. From what I've heard, the Jaegers are preparing for a final fight. That must mean that the Revolutionary Army is ready to draw their swords at last. I never wanted to be in this war, but I would've been caught in it in the end. Once it's over, I'm to be the one to bring peace to the Empire. It's my duty as heir. Things are beginning to look up though. I feel refreshed, Crow is behind bars, and Ren is doing his duties. Better yet, Leone had Chelsea make me new clothes to fit the new me. I really hope Leone meant my personality and not my figure. I'm looking forward to relaxing for once. For the past five years, I've done nothing but run and fight. It's time for a nice relaxing night. I'm just glad that Ren hasn't done anything rash since I've been gone.

"Before you head out tonight, I want to test your new abilities." Akame says over lunch, "Even I can tell that you've become stronger."

"Right." I nod and look over at Ichi, "This is a good chance for you to learn from us."

"I look forward to it!" Ichi smiles and takes a spoonful of soup, "Thanks for letting me stay here! I look forward to helping out the Revolutionary Army and Night Raid!"

"You're too cheerful." Mine pipes in, "Quiet down."

"Let the girl have fun!" Leone says laughing, "It's nice to have some fresh company around here."

"Yeah, yeah." Mine waves her hand, "Have you talked to Crow yet?"

"No." Leone gets serious, "I fear he's too far gone already. I'll talk to him tomorrow. For now, Chelsea, have you finished making Anna's clothes?"

"Sure have!" Chelsea says getting up from the table, "I'll be in my room. Anna, when you're done come up and we'll see how they look on ya!"

"Sounds like a plan. I'll be up after I get done sparring with Akame." I say as Akame gets up from the table, "Leone, mind doing the dishes?"

"Aw, I wanted to see you fight." Leone crosses her arms, "I'll do them after."

"I'll do them." Susanoo speaks up, "You go and learn from each other."

"Well, that's settled!" Leone gets up quickly, "Let's go!"

Akame unsheathes her cursed sword, Murasame, the sword that can kill no matter the cut. I whisper Seishin, and my new armor appears on me. I feel more in control than the first time I activated my weapon. I know Akame is a powerful fighter and she won't be going easy on me. It's time that I put my newfound abilities to the test. "Ready Akame?" I take a deep breath.

She only nods appears in front of me instantly. She's fast, but I saw that attack. I catch Murasame in my blade catcher and aim a kick at her. She dodges and kicks off my arm landing only a few feet away. I've only seen her train Ren, I don't know how she moves in a fight like this. 

"Stay calm and you can win this fight."

"Not against her. I'll try though."

Akame jumps and lands a kick to my right arm. She spins in midair and I grab her leg. I swing her around and slam her into the ground. I aim downward only to feel the hard earth on my hand. She moves fast, too fast. I look up to see Akame spinning before feeling three more kicks to my head. My head bounces off the ground and my vision reddens. I get up on shaky legs.

"Allow me. Sheathe your weapons young one. I do not want your friend dead."

I breathe deeply and sheathe my blades. My body then feels full of power and my injuries quickly heal. A black aura surrounds me as the power nearly overwhelms me.

"I'm not finished yet." I smile in pain from the power, "I still have some fight in me."

"Is this your trump?" Akame asks readying herself.
