Kami was sitting by Shae's window looking at the leaves fly around thinking about Hakeem and Quan when Shaé came back in the room

Shaé: You ready? Shaé asked Kami turned at Shaé as was looking a little unsure so she nodded and said

Kami:I'm ready.

Shaé: Ok just like we planned.

After she said that Kami grabbed her phone as Nashaé pressed record on her phone while Kami dialed Andre number then puts him on speaker,after three rings he picked up

Is something wrong? Andre asked

Everything is fine it's just that I was thinking about Quan's case and how I might be able to help. Kami said

Andre:Alright I'm listening.

Kami:Well it's these two joined houses that me and Quan use to pass on the way to Ember's house it was some guys that would be sitting right there and use to say stuff to me and Quan but we ignored them but they use to talk like they knew him can you check that out please it's bothering me I really need to know.

Andre:Um yea sure...I'll check tomorrow.

Kami: Thanks Detective by-

Andre cut her off before she hung up the phone

Andre:Wait um....I wasn't going to say anything because it isn't my place to but I think you should know that Quan's parents are having Quan's ceremony at the school tomorrow and the only reason I know is because the dad has requested police backup and when he asked that news reporters are going to be there and you know the first questions they will ask.

Kami:What!?

Kami yelled as Shaé was just as confused they heard Melody's footsteps so Kami had to hang up quickly

Kami:I um.. have to go so let me know what you find tomorrow goodnight.

Andre:Night be safe.

They hang up and Shaé cuts off the recorder and Kami just sits there

Shaé:Mimi?

Kami:Can you believe them!?She said getting out the chair as Melody walked in the room and leaned on the wall

Melody: Believe who?

Kami:Quan's momma and daddy they want...is going to have a ceremony at the school and this is my first time hearing it about it doesn't she know what type of questions that can cause.

She said angrily as Melody walked to her and sat her on the bed face to face

Melody:Stop and listen,their just like us wanting answers and this maybe the only help we can get from others to start talking if the world finally sees and hears her cry for help it might be a start.

Kami wasn't in the right mindset right now so she started tearing up a bit and Melody put both sides of her hand on Kami's cheeks

Melody: I know this is hard but you got to stay sane alright and be reasonable because that's their son and yes he was your boyfriend but I think his parents made a good call here.

She said holding onto the side of Kami's face as she cried and Kami nodded while Mel used her thumbs to wipe her face as Shaé smiled a little with a few tears falling and wipes them quick

Melody: Now the both of you go to sleep school starts back in the morning and I know y'all got stuff planned for it.

Melody was walking Kami put Shae's room when Kami almost forgot they wasn't done with what they was doing so she turned around
