Sunrise was in an hour, so I stopped the fighting and gave Anna a high five. She put good effort into it tonight.

"Impressive," I nodded and smiled. "But there is still a few things I want you to learn before we let you go." I said and turned to face Braedon.

"When can you bring her back over here?" I asked and he thought about it for a second.

"Sometime in the next few days. I have to work tomorrow night, and so do you. There seems to be a pattern in the deaths. Every six days." I sighed and nodded.

"Alright." I went to the refrigerator and grabbed some blood. I was thirsty after hours of fighting. I turned to Anna.

"Want something to drink after all of this fighting?" I asked.

"Sure." she said and walked towards me. I handed a bottle to her.

"It's synthetic blood, but it will do." I put the bottle to my lips and drank half of it within seconds. I felt my cheeks had flushed a little, and so had Anna's. She really was pretty. She was probably missed by her family and friends back at home.

A few minutes later when we had finished drinking, Braedon stepped into the kitchen. His electric blue eyes seemed brighter tonight. I couldn't help but smile. Warmth settled inside me, but it had to be the blood.

I hadn't felt like that since...

"You never asked me to help. I want to have a match with you." he said out of nowhere. My mouth almost dropped. Was he serious? Did a full moon suddenly come out from underneath the clouds?

"You sure about that? You won't drug me?" I asked accusingly. To my surprise, he laughed.

"No. Come on. I think I can take an eight-hundred year old vampire on." he replied and started walking into the living room. I shrugged but it didn't help that I just got a little excited over one fight. Something was definitely up.

But, if he was human, he was going to be dead within seconds.

I smiled at Anna and made my way towards the living room. We only had forty-five minutes until sunrise. We had to make this quick, plus I was getting tired.

"Okay, if I rip your head off, it's not my fault." I said, but as soon as I said the last word, I was on the ground. I got angry, and looked up to meet blue eyes that were silently laughing at me. Half a second went by and I had him in a chokehold.

I whispered in his ear.

"Does this position seem familiar to you, buddy?" I said fiercely. He turned around so fast that it almost wasn't human and kicked my legs out from under me. I caught myself and sung my right leg into his. He went down with me and landed on top of me. I smirked.

"God, do you have to make it so obvious you want me?" I laughed and pushed him off of me. He laughed with me, but then stopped suddenly like he wasn't laughing at all and landed back on me. But then he rolled us over so I was on top of him. His dark hair was all messy from the fight and it looked like he just rolled out of bed. In a good way.

"Rose," he drawled out slowly, his voice almost making me want to just collapse on top of him. He said is quietly, so I leaned in. He brought his head up to my ear. And I couldn't help but notice how tight his shirt was on him right now. And how aware I was that my body didn't really want to move off of him. And how aware I was that I felt hotter than normal-

Damn.

This can't be happening.

And I hadn't been called that name since...

"I knew you've always wanted me." he said so quiet that I almost didn't hear him. But then he smirked and threw me off of him.

"But you'll just throw me away." he said seriously, but then smiled again. He looked like his normal self now. I didn't know what just happened, but it was weird. So weird.

"Good fight." he said and then motioned for Anna to come to the door.

"Tomorrow. Be at the place I told you by midnight." Braedon said seriously and then smiled one last time before opening the door.

The first hints of sunrise were starting to show. So that's the reason they had to leave quickly.

Weird. They word was stuck in my head.

Weird. Weird. Weird.

I sighed and made my way towards the bedroom. Maybe I was so tired I imagined all of it. Not.

I thought about the fight between me and Braedon again.

He didn't have a heartbeat. He had strength that was too great for a human.

Well, obviously he couldn't be human. Check that off the list.

But those eyes were glued in my head, those electric blue ones.

And somehow, they looked exactly like the ones in my dream last night.
