Ryan's Pov

"Ryan, wake up!"

Two chubby little hands nudge my back and another set of hands tickle my feet. I start to smile and resist the urge to howl with laughter.

"I know you're awake Ryan. I see you smiling." Chase whispers into my ear. I shudder.

Ew. I decide to ignore his creepiness and try to get a couple more minutes of shut-eye.

But with my brothers, that is impossible.

So I finally decide to get up, and out of bed.

****

I stare at my reflection in the mirror. I want to do something different with my hair. I bunch it up and picture it as a pony-tail but its just not me. I finally settle on curling my hair after mentally arguing with myself, for 10 minutes.

I make my way down stairs and am welcomed my lovely mother. I take back lovely. Her hair is-

"I know I look horrible." She says in a steely tone. We hadn't been talking since yesterday, because of Joshua.

Well there's my mother for you, always ready to make up, even if that person is pissed as hell at you.

"So do you want to talk about it? Or..." I ask awkwardly. I stand there until she finally says something.

"I need you to-somehow I don't care-take the twins to school." she tells me while massaging her temples.

"Alright whatever your majesty." I sigh, while I lift up an invisible skirt and bow to my mom.

She tsk-ed at me and walked away. I rolled my eyes, still upset she'd go out with Joshua.

"C'mon are you gonna make us some food or just stand there Ry?" Chase whined. I looked at the twins, when did they get in there.

I groaned and went to make 3 bowls of cereal.

*****************

"My feet hurt!"

"Mine too!"

I was walking them to school and they were whining every 10 seconds!

"Shut up." I muttered.

Finally when we got to the school I waved them goodbye and jogged home.

On my way home, I saw Joshua and went over to greet him. Even though I hate his ugly guts, I still had to be polite and at least say hi. Right?

I made my way over and said hi.

No response. All I heard was like him chewing on something.

Food maybe?

I was only facing his back, so that's probably the problem.

I walked over to his front side, but looked at my shoes, and said, "Hey Joshua, I just happened to see you so I thought I'd come over and you know, say hi." I ranted.

I sighed, wow, how rude, he still didn't say anything. I give him my best glare I could muster, and gasp as I see his face. Blood was smeared across his face, and he was eating something, I was just to freaked out to look.

I run home in a rush, and slam the front door behind me once I get in. I start to breath very heavily, and soon I'm panting.

My head starts to hurt. Bad.

"Hey Ry, you're-"says my mom coming out of her room.

"What happened?" she asks in a concered voice.

"You wouldn't believe a thing I said, if I did tell you." I whispered.

I've never felt this scared before. Well once. The time when we were all squished in a hospital room, waiting for dad to wake up and say he was okay.

Only he never did.

I remember everything so clearly. How his life-line stopped going up and down in zig-zags, and became a flat line.

How the room it-self reminded me of death. Its white pale walls. I shake those thoughts out of my mind.

"Honey, what is wrong?" my mom asked in a pressing tone

"Nothing. I wouldn't want- Nothing. Just drop it."

"Ryan Renae Larson I will get whatever you don't want to talk about out. Trust me." I shuddered at my middle name. I was surprised how much more energetic she is now than earlier this morning.

"Hey! Would you look at the time, I'm going to be late to school if I don't go now!" I squirm out of my mom's deadly wrath, and grab my bag and catch the bus.

Its my first time on the bus, so I have no idea where to sit. I sit next to a random guy on the bus and plug my ear-buds in to prevent any awkward conversations.

*****

I let out a sigh of relief, as the last bell of the day rings.

I run to Macy and start to bug her.

"Remember your promise? You said you'd stay after school with me." I decided that I would figure out what the hecks going on, since it kept bugging me.

"Errr. Why in the world would I do that?" She asked herself.

"Because you love me." I chorused.

"No homo." she warned. We burst out laughing.

*****

"Hey Macy over here!"

"Oh my god. Is that.. blood?" Macy shrieked.

I was surprisingly calm somehow. But Macy, on the other hand, was freaking out. A couple of seniors were stuck in the detention room, which was the classroom right behind us.

So you know how that goes. One of the seniors came out and saluted us with his middle-finger. Well isn't that lovely. I brushed it off and tried to calm Macy down.

"AHHH!! Ryan we're gonna DIE!!" She yelled.

"Shut up. The seniors are gonna come and kill you first if you don't keep it down!" I whispered, and clamped a hand over her mouth.

Looping an arm through Macy's , I dragged her out the building.

"I. Am. Never. Going. To. Stay. And. Investigate. With. You. AGAIN!" She screeched.

"Alright. Fine by me, but just remember, YOU left your bes- no sister to get blood-sucked by a vampire. All by herself." I pointed out.

"Fine."

"So tomorrow?"

"Yeh, sure whatever." She said, lazily.

"Hey, I'm gonna call my mom to pick us up, ok?" she offered.

I nodded.

****

"I dare you to go T.P. your neighbor's house."

"What? Poor Mrs. Peterson? She's like 79 years old! Nope, next dare!"

Me and Macy are playing truth or dare, obviously, at her place. And its 2 am.

Its a Friday so my mom let me stay over.

"Macy I'm gonna go to sleep now." I started to rub my eyes.

"Yeah, I'm getting sleepy." She yawned.

I was writing this chapter, and now theres this new edit thingy, when you space it erases your past word. Its so annoying.I don't know if its just me or if anyone else is having this problem.
