   How long has it been... Since I last saw them? I remember my mother's thumb stroke my tiny hand in an attempt to comfort me. My father picking me up, and swinging me in his arms. I always laughed with such entertainment. They were my goofy parents. If only I had spent more time with them. I could have told them how much I loved them although not being able to mutter a single word.

   I watched the steel cold door in front of me with anticipation. When will they come, and find me? This stupid has-beens can't keep me locked up in here forever. I wished Lawless had stayed with me. He was my image of a father figure after all. I created him to keep me company while my family was away. Why did that idiot have to disappear? Why did he have to leave me all alone like this?

    My furry ears twitched. There were people muttering behind the door that kept me captive. There were two voices. One a man belonging to my kidnapper, and a woman's voice. It was a voice I had never heard before. My kidnapper was currently trying to calm the panicked woman down.

"I CAN'T LET YOU KEEP ROMEO! HE'S PRECIOUS TO ME!"

"Ms. (L/N), please calm down. You're stressing over nothing."

"DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!!"

   Why would she, a stranger, be panicked over something so insignificant such as myself. What the woman said next caused my heart to swell. Hot wet tears streamed down my furry flushed face.

"HE'S MY SON!"

"Mom...", I whimpered while watching the door shake. My mother was here to save me... She really did care about me. Even after all this time of waiting, she finally came to hold me again. As if it was inevitable, the rigid metal door burst off its' hinges. The red gaze of my female parent locked onto me. With a puff of smoke, I was running towards her in my human form again.

"Mommy!", I cried wrapping my small thin arms around her legs. My mom let out a gasp.

"Ro... Romeo? You have gotten so... big..."

   I blinked when she knelt down to my height. Her smile still contained her infamous kindness and love that I was so used to. Her thumb stroked my tears away.

"It's only been a whole year... How are you five already?"

"I don't know... But I missed you, mommy!"

   I hugged her. If she was a human, her spine would have shattered already. However, she was inhuman just like myself.

"I missed you too, Romeo. Let's go home."
