Tony and Caramel galloped across the field when Arabella saw something strange in the grass. "I say, Julian, is that a human over there?" She rode over to it. "Golly, it is! It's Joan!" She jumped off her pony. "Joan! Joan!" Joan shivered. Arabella helped Joan to her feet. She put her arms around Joan, lifting her onto Tony. "Come on boy."
Arabella rode as fast as she could back to the school. "Matron, Matron!"
Matron sorted the poor girl out. Arabella linked her arm into Joan's. She expected it to be brushed away. "I'm so sorry, Arabella... I've been so stupid..."
She grinned. "Don't you worry. I was just as bad as you."
