To clockco1 who is a Survivor and actually reads my tag book XD

The flames devoured the wood like starving wolves, tearing the bark apart blackening. The flames crackle and pop, sending tiny sparks flying. The smoke floats up into the air but it blends into the night's sky. The dark wood leans against each other creating a giant bonfire. It's surrounded by rocks and the sand around it is drenched in water.

We did that to make sure the fire stays in its cage. The flames will eat anything they come close to and destroy it. I watch the fire lick the empty air as it consumes the wood. It's a giant bonfire that is very hot to be close to. I feel the heat burning my face but I don't mind. The flames are so bright, it's almost blinding to stare at the base.

I sit on the sand, leaning back on one arm. I stare at the flames, expressionless, lost in my own thoughts. We ate leftover airplane food, though we weren't exactly hungry. We passed out the water bottles and labeled them with a random permanent marker. We also handed out blankets and pillows for everyone, planning to sleep around the bonfire for heat.

I can feel the cool ocean breeze blowing through my hair but the heat of the bonfire is so strong that I can barely feel it. Teren had managed to clean my burn wound, which stung like crazy, and wrapped my back with AC bandage. Now I wear my jacket but half unzipped with the sleeve still covering my metal arm. I'm shirtless still but the AC is covering my stomach.

I changed into some black sweatpants I found which feel better than jeans. I guess I can sleep better now. I guess. We decided to wait to burn the bodies, just to wait until tomorrow. Maybe the rescuers will come tonight. That's why we built such a big bonfire. Thank God for smokers who brought lighters.

"WOO!!!" Thalia cheers as she dances around the bonfire. Everyone cheers loudly and claps for her as she dances around. She swings her hips and claps her hands, she moves her bare feet like lightning seeming like an Irish dancer. She twirls around and bows dramatically.

"Again!! More!" Lukas shouts raising a fist in the air.

Oliver whoops and runs around the bonfire, leaping into the air like a gazelle. In his hand is a clear glass bottle filled with straight Vodka. He laughs crazily and cheers loudly shaking the bottle spraying it everywhere. I watch them quietly feeling a little sick to my stomach at the sight of alcohol. I made a vow never to drink because I saw what it does. I'm not about to break it now.

But everyone else seems to like the idea. Who am I to tell them they can't? We're technically not in American borders so the law doesn't apply, is what Oliver said. And this seems to be helping them cope, a little fun can't hurt. The drinking idea was actually Oliver's idea, Ayden agreed and so did everyone else.

Ayden told me he likes to drink at the parties he goes to. He also said he does other things at those parties. Then he started talking about how hot the girls look. I can't believe the nerve of that guy. I hope he doesn't try anything stupid tonight. I may have to use Oliver's excuse for drinking, saying that there is no law against that on this island. Then together as drunks we would burn Ayden's body with the rest.

Bree sits next to me, only watching and laughing at the crazy things Oliver is doing with Thalia who had her first drink tonight. If a bunch of teenagers crash land on an island with a bunch of alcohol from first-class, what do you expect them to do? She claps at the dance Thalia does and laughs. She said she won't drink either but didn't say why.

Oliver cheers again grinning ear to ear and tosses the bottle to Samuel. He catches it and laughs happily and takes a quick drink, throwing his head back. Jennifer giggles and watches her brother drink, she hasn't taken a drink either. He tosses it back to Oliver, spraying it everywhere getting it on the sand. Lukas sways back and forth, standing up watching them dance. I think he's about ready to collapse.
