Shivika Gains Consciousness

In the morning, Shivaay and Anika had freshened up and were sitting beside Shivika, holding her hands. She fluttered her lashes and slowly opend her eyes.

Shivaay: Shivika...

Anika: Shivika!

They hugged from either sides and kissed her forehead. Shivika looked at them with confusion, as she had just woken up.

Shivika: *faintly* Kya hua?

Anika tightend the hug while Shivaay caressed her forehead.

Shivaay: *teary eyed* Are you fine beta?

Anika: *angrily* Khabbardaar jo aise hume phir daraya.

Shivika, too tired to say anything, rolled her eyes.

Shivika: Mumma.

Anika: Hm?

Shivika: Mumma, thoda...space. Aap mujhe daba rahe ho.

Anika: Oh, sorry-sorry.

Anika positioned her on the bed and moved away. The doctor comes in and passes a warm smile to Shivika.

Doctor: Hello Shivika.

Shivika: Hello.

Doctor: Kaisa feel kar rahe ho?

Shivika: Sar aur body main dard ho raha. Aur uthne ke baad bhi tired hoon.

Doctor: Aw, don't worry. Ek baar aapka check up kar lein, phir aap medicines le kar aaram kijiyega. *puts her stethoscope on* Gaihri saans lo.

She followed the doctors instuctions and she peformed some tests on her, takes some notes and gives the file to the nurse.

Doctor: You're making good progress Shivika. I'm very happy.

Shivika: *smiles weakly* Thank you.

Doctor pats her cheeks lightly and leaves. Anika gently strokes Shivika's hair.

Shivika: Mumma, papa; aap dono ne breakfast kiya?

Shivaay: Beta, tumhe chhod ke kaise jaate.

Shivika: Oh ho, mera breakfast toh jab doctor aunty kahenge tab milega likin aap dono ko toh khaa le na chahiye na, especially aapko mumma. Aap agar nahi khaoge toh mere chhotu ko bhi bhookha rehna pade...

She gasps lightly so Anika keep her finger on her lips.

Anika: Shhh. Saari taqat humpe chillane main mat lagao. Aaram karo.

Shivika: Toh kal se aur kya kar rahi hoon? Aur agar aap dono apna-apna dhyaan nahi rakhoge toh mera aur chhotu ka kaun rakhega?

Shivaay: *lightly pulls her cheeks* Okay Nanimaa, hum breakfast karke aate hain.

Shivika: *satisfied* Good mumma and good papa.

Shivaay: Achha, agar kuch bhi chahiye ho toh mujhe batana. Nahi toh yahaan ek button hain, usse press karna aur ek nurse aa jayegi. Okay?

Shivika: Okay.

Shivaay: Take care.

He drops a kiss on her forehead and leaves with Anika. Outside the entire family crowds them.

Shakti: Beta, Shivika kaisi hain?

Pinky: Usse zyaada taqleef toh nahi ho rahi na?

Everyone goes silent, finger on their lips.

Shivaay: Okay, ek-ek karke answers dete hain. Dad, she's fine. Mom, abhi painkillers ke asar se aaram hain. Badi maa, everything is normal. Saumya, koi major internal injuries nahi hain. And Om, woh jaldi recover ho rahi likin I don't know exactly kitna time lagega. Any more questions?

Rudra raises his hand while Anika whines softly.

Shivaay: Ab tumhe kya poochhna hain?

Om: Abhi aisa kya hua ki aap dono bahar aa gaye?

All give him a confused look.

Anika: *confused* Matlab?

Rudra: Matlab aap dono toh Shivika ko ek second ke liye bhi nahi chhod rahe they, hume aap dono kheench kar laana pad raha tha. Kahin nurse ne baahar toh nahi phaink diya?

Saumya: *giggles* Ab hume 100% yakeen hain ki Shivika bilkul normal hain.

Anika: *whispers* Aise kabhi mat sochna ki SSOs normal ho sakte hain.

Shivaay: You know, main tumhe sun sakta hoon. Anyways, kuch khaa lo, phir doctor ke saath tumhari appointment hain.

Anika: Meri? Shivaay, accident Shivika ka hua tha.

Shivaay: Jiski wajah se tumne pregnant hote hue bhi itna stress liya hain ki mujhe tumhe aur humare baby ko leke double stress ho raha hain. Is liye naashta karo, phir mom aur Saumya ke saath chali jaana. And don't try to act over-smart.

Anika: Aapko har baat itni tadi maarna zaroori hain?

Shivaay: Jab baat meri family ki ho toh SSO banna padta hain. Now go.

Shivaay takes her to the cafetaria followed by rest of the family. After breakfast, Pinky and Saumya took Anika to her gynaecologist while rest of them headed back to Shivika's ward.
