Jungle Madness- Pt. 1

Wassup! So I have had a change of plan, since my chapters for A Little Nindroid and Growing Pains are both taking so long. So I have these two finished chapters going up early. I blame writer's block. Curse it.  And my apologies for it being so delayed.

The next day, the bounty came to a halt high above a jungle.

All the nina headed out onto the deck, with Zane mostly recovered. Kai had locked the shadow within a holding cell that casted no shadows anywhere.

“I suppose we should just ride our dragons down.” Lloyd said while looking over the side of the deck, down at the tangle of jungle below

“I guess so. Cress, you can ride with one of us if you want.” Kai said with a shrug

Cress narrowed her eyes as she looked at Kai.

“What makes you think I can’t make my own dragon?” Cress asked in an icy tone, making everyone take a step back.

“Because uhhh…..” Kai started, unsure how to answer

Cress glared at him before she shut her eyes and focused. There wasa light flash of light, and a dragon then appeared underneath Cress, with her sitting on top of it.

It was a blood red color with brighter red markings on it’s wings and legs.

“Woah.” The ninja, minus Kai, said

“Got any other smart remarks fireboy?” Cress asked in an annoyed tone as her dragon lowered its head

“Not anymore…” Kai mumbled, gaining snickers from the others

“Let’s go.” Cole said after a couple minutes

The rest of the ninja then formed their dragons, with Jackson riding with Zane. They then glided down into the jungle. The minute they landed, their dragons vanished.

“Let’s get walking.” Loriah said lightly

The team walked for several minutes, but Jay then spoke up with a groan.

“Do we even know which direction the Fusion Temple even is?” He asked

“I am detecting high elemental energy readings coming northwest of here.” Zane offered

“And which way would that be? All I see is jungle.” Kai snipped in, annoyed from earlier

“Straight ahead.” Zane and Jackson both said in unison with identical grins

“Well, ‘least we have two map makers with us” Lloyd said with a playful smile

“We know a thing or two about directions.” Jackson said simply as they went on walking

“We can tell.” Kai said with an eye roll, before he ending up yelping from Nya smacking him upside the back of his head

A half hour passed with the team hiking through the roots and bushes. They then reached a small clearing, that had only small trees within it.

Zane then suddenly stopped and looked around.

“What’s the matter Zane?” Nya asked, seeing him do so

“Nobody touch their weapons.” Zane said softly as he looked around at the trees

Jackson perked up and then started looking around as well, having heard whatever Zane heard as well.

“Everyone….don’t move…” Jackson said breathlessly
