PERSONAL BACKGROUND:

Akemi was born and raised in Osaka. She had a Korean father and Japanese mother. She grew up mostly without her dad being there. Her dad died when she was just 8 years old. He always loved Akemi's voice and so she decided to pursue a career that would honour him and make him proud. She would always sing and dance around to her favourite Japanese pop songs. When she heard about a bighit audition in Japan she immediately auditioned. After being accepted she moved to Korea to train.
