He then fell hopelessly in love

Jungkook wasn't the brightest kid.

He wasn't the friendliest.

Wasn't the kindest.

He was every way, opposite of Jimin.

Jimin wasn't the strongest.

He wasn't the tallest.

He wasn't the bravest.

All he knew was that he fell in love with the person exactly opposite of him.

Jungkook would describe Jimin as a fluffy and untouchable being.

Jungkook can always make Jimin laugh.

He was always there for him.

And so was Jimin.

They first met in University.

Jimin and Jungkook both studied art and design.

A 'Hello' was all it took for Jungkook to fall in love with the boy with brown hair and an adorable smile.

Jimin felt too embarrassed to look up, he wasn't the best at making friends.

"Hi, I'm Jungkook." Jungkook spoke up, looking down at the boy sitting quietly in his desk. Jimin peeked up, strands of hair covering his face.

"I'm Jimin." He almost whispered, sending chills down Jungkook's spine.

Whenever Jungkook felt down he would always think of one thing he's always sure of-

Brown eyes.

Brown curls.

The fact that he sees him every day, that every time they 'accidentally touch' and his heart skips a beat. That nothing can hurt Jimin, when he's there.

That Jimin is simply alive.

And that he's hopelessly in love with Jimin.

'Hopeless', probably isn't the right word to describe it, because there isn't a word to describe how Jungkook feels.

When Jimin is with Jungkook, he feels as if the entire universe is in his grasp.

Then he said something he regretted.

"Jungkook." Jungkook turned to look at Jimin.

"Did you know I can hold the entire universe in my hands?" Jungkook giggled, leaning closer.

"Oh yeah?" He said, teasing Jimin.

"Here." Jimin cupped his hands on both of Jungkook's cheeks.

Jungkook's cheeks started burning, all the way to his ears and hid his eyes behind his bangs.

"You're so weird..."

He then kissed Jimin until he was satisfied.

Falling in love isn't that easy.

Holding on is hard, not because it's hard to hold on.

It's way harder to let go.

And Jungkook never thought he would do this to Jimin.

Ever.

'At least one family member must join the army.'

Jungkook was his family's only son, if he doesn't go...

Who is it going to be then? His father?

Or...Jimin?

This thought wrapped around Jungkook's mind, unwilling to let go.

Then is dawned on him.

That he had to let go.

That he had to leave Jimin...for good.

He never told Jimin until he left.

Jimin woke up that misty morning, without Jungkook next to him.

He looked at the neatly folded clothes and a note next to breakfast. Jimin yawned and opened up the note.

Jimin felt his stomach sink to the ground. His heart stopping.

He couldn't quite process what was going on, he slipped on his slippers and grabbed at the note.

He threw it on the ground and raced towards the train station.

"Jungkook!" Jimin panicked, scanning the station.

His eyes caught onto a familiar back figure and he ran towards him.

Without hesitation or double checking Jimin hugged him.

Jungkook didn't need to look to know who he was.

"Jungkook...no...don't leave..." Jimin sobbed. Jungkook felt the wave of tears he fought off before all pour out. He dropped his bag and it thumped onto the ground.

"Jimin...Jimin look at me." They were both crying and Jungkook didn't even bother explaining everything. He took Jimin by the back of his neck and his cheek.

"I have to go." Jimin shook his head.

"You said you'd never leave...that you'd always be by my side."

"Don't say it like I'm never coming back." Jungkook choked on his words. His heart aches to see Jimin like this.

"I...I just...I'm not..." Jimin stuttered, Jungkook's bottom lip started quivering.

He pulled Jimin by the back of his neck and kissed him.
