"DAVID." I could barely breath when I saw him. My eyes filled with tears as he rushed out of his seat and wrapped his arms around me. His face had cuts and was bruised, his arm was slashed and he had a limp as he walked. But he was still my handsome David and he was back- alive and with me.

"Taylor, they're looking for you." He whispered as his warmth engulfed me. He felt thinner, like he hadn't been eating well- or possibly at all.

"I know," I whispered back, unable to let go of him. I wanted to hold onto him as long as I could, "I've been in hiding. Everyone misses you at school."

"I missed you." He said as we stood at the police station. He had been sent there from CIA headquarters after they'd questioned him.

"I missed you too," an unbearable feeling filled me up and I felt like I could explode and become a cloud because this must have been a dream. The station was bright, and metallic.

"So, we have decided that David is going to be put under protection for a short amount of time- he's going to be kept somewhere near his home, he can't attend school yet but we will inform his parents."

"Can he stay with me?" I blurted, without even considering that I didn't even have a home and that I was staying at Matt's.

"Speaking of you Ms. Blakely, we will be moving you elsewhere as your position has been compromised. We want to keep you both as safe as we can while we figure out the Blakely scandal. So we have an underground motel/ apartment where we keep those in most need of protection and so Ms. Blakely, if you would like to be with Mr. Brason, we can make those arrangements. However, you both will not be allowed to leave and we will send someone down every three days to give you food and water. Andrew will show you the area, there's one way in and a few different ways out. Additionally, if you both wanted a breath of air, we have several disguises that can be worn. That being said, Andrew, will you take them to Pueblo City."

"We're going to Colorado?" David blurted.

"No, Mr. Brason, it's a code name." David nodded as the professional looking men led us out and we followed behind Matt.

I was speechless, anything I had wanted to talk to him about had slipped from my mind and now we sat side by side in silence as Matt began to drive away. When we arrived, it looked like we were at a rundown hotel that was out of business, but once Matt entered in a very long code, solid metal doors opened and we got into the elevator. It felt like we stood there forever as it led us further down.

I wondered where my mother was and I wondered if David also wondered about his parents. Probably- he had gotten himself involved with me even if I encouraged it, we were in this together- no backing out.

"Here we are." Matt's voice filled the echoing room as he put in a few more codes into a door and it unlocked to show a super cozy homey looking apartment. An underground gorgeous home and I was kind of excited to live here. I took in all the sights as Matt continued to talk. After he was done, he smiled at us, handed us each a key and left. We stood alone now as I stared at David.
