"NO." SCOTT smirked at his sister, Riley's cascading pink dress. It was hard to fathom a dress that looked better than this, this dress was fantastic, but by now, after all the fifty dresses she'd shown us, they all looked bland and well, they all looked the same. Scott truly looked unimpressed by every dress he saw on her. Maybe it was because he was her brother and wanted to make her life a living hell.

"I'm going to the food court." Matt groaned beside me, his green blue brown eyes searching my face.

"I'm not your mom, you don't need permission from me." I smirked arrogantly as he laughed, rolling his eyes while twisting a loose strand of my hair.

"You coming tootsie roll?" he asked as I raised an eyebrow.

"Riley, Matt and I are going to go get something to eat."

"Wait, just tell me what you think of this dress first, because I think it might be the one." She grinned widely stepping out of the changing room.

Everyone in the store seemed to hold their breaths at the dress. It was amazing and I was feeling slightly jealous for not being the one to find it first. I guess I would go shopping some other time.

"It's great Riley, I love it." I encourage her as Matt stood beside me speechless. Well then.

"It's hot." Matt finally said, Scott was already leaving the store. I felt a tinge of jealousy, but as soon as it appeared, it was gone.

"Hey Scott, wait up." I called, following behind him and leaving Matt and Riley behind.

"Hey Taylor." His voice shook, he seemed somewhat nervous.

"So, uh, do you know where the food court is at? I usually never come to the mall for food."

"Why eat food here when you can have fine dining delivered to your mansion. " I cringed at what he'd just said. I didn't say anything, I didn't know what to say. I just felt embarrased. "Sorry, it's just I saw Jake with you a few weeks ago and . . ." I cut him short.

"Please don't bring him up." I whispered, keeping my eyes down as we continued to walk, passing many boutiques and chocolate stores.

"I. . . I'm sorry. " He stumbled over his words as I decided to watch him squirm a bit, " It's just that I liked your house and then I was going to visit you but I saw you behind the gate with him and you two were in your room, don't call me a stalker because you left your window open, and. . ." He immediately stopped himself, covering his mouth.

"It's fine." I whisper, feeling extremely uncomfortable and wishing I could just go home and sleep in my apartment while Matt flirted with Riley and she went after my ex.

When did life get so complicated.

"Um. Actually, I'll be at home, you wouldn't mind giving Matt a ride home right?"
