Flashback
Laying in bed with the person I love, my back is against his chest his arm draped around my waist.

I hold his tattooed arm and trace light circles.

Complete silence

"Hey y/n" i open my eyes from my semi-consciousness

"Mmhm"

Nothing. Silence

"Shawn? " I turn my head peering over my shoulder

"Uh never mind"

I return my head to the original position trying to forget what just happened

"No tell me"

I turn around so my face is looking at his bare chest.
I look up to him, look into his big brown hazel eyes that I love so much

"Nothing I'm just scared" I give him a weird look

"I don't want us to break apart. I don't want anything bad to happen to us"

I cup his cheek, stroking his cheek while seeing a single tear falling

"Nothing is going to happen to us. I promise."

I get close to his face to reassure him.

"But you have to promise me something" I look at him
"

Anything love" he states while now cupping my cheek

"Don't leave me"

He brings me close to his chest. Kisses the top of my head and whispers in my ear "Never"

Present day
Shawn and I have been in a argument, very heated
"GOD SHAWN! I DIDN'T MEAN IT!"

He turns back and looks at me with a evil look, if looks could kill I would be on the side of the road
"WHAT DOES "it's like I don't even have a boyfriend" EVEN MEAN TO YOU THEN?"

While Shawn was on tour I was bombarded coming out of a restaurant
"MY GOD SHAWN I DIDN'T SAY THAT! THEY MADE IT UP!"

He shakes his head in disappointment
"OH YEAH AND ME TELLING A INTERVIEWER THAT YOUR MY GIRLFRIEND ISN'T TRUE?! Oh come on y/n that is bullshit!"

That hurt. A lot.

He looks tired. He looks like he wants to give up.
I can feel tears coming out of my eyes, but I fight it

"Ya know I'm going to go."

Throwing his hands in the air. He goes towards the door and I rush out of the kitchen

"YOU PROMISED!" I say not able to hold my tears anymore

He stops at the door
"YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T LEAVE ME! But your just like him! GO!"

I let out a shaky breathe putting my face in my hands.

I feel big warm hands on my hands. Peeling them away. But I immediately put them back, but then have them peeled back instantly

"I'm not him. I'm not your dad. don't you dare say that because it's not true." He lifts my chin up so I can look at him. Tears coming from my eyes.

His eyes no longer looking evil, but looking sweet like they always are.
He takes his thumb rubbing the tears away.

"I'm not leaving you" I shake my head

"Really then what were you doing?"
He bring his hand to the side of my head and stokes my hair

"I was just going to get air" pointing to the door
I shake my head in disbelief

"How do I know? You weren't just going to leave?" Feeling tears coming up again.

"I'm never leaving you. I may want some air but I will always come back. I don't think you know how much I love you. And how much I would not be able to live with myself if I left you."
I start to cry again. My forehead on his chest. He stroking my head trying to calm me down

"I'm so-sorry. I didn't even say that." I say between my cries
Shawn takes my head out of his chest and looks at me

"I know. I should know what that's like. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it at all. "
I give him a weak smile

"And I'm definitely not leaving you. How can I prove it?"
He takes the last tear that remains on my cheek.
I hold his hand that's on my face and squeeze it

"Don't leave me. Ever!" I place my head back in his chest and my arms around his waist. He squeezes me tightly

"Didn't plan on."
