The three of us burst into the mess hall. Everyone was under the tables, screaming. There were no soldiers or security. We sprinted to the photographer's door.

"Beth!"

I whipped around and saw Hank and Charles standing up. I cringed.

"Seth... what do we do about them?"

Seth was desperately trying to pick the lock to the door.

"Who?!"

"Hank. Charles. All of them. They just saw us."

Seth looked up and then back at the lock. "If they want to go back out, they can, but this is our battle, not theirs."

I glanced at Patch. "Make sure no one spots us."

I sneaked over to Hank and Charles. "Could you shut up?! They'll find us."

I saw Hank's face turn red. "Beth! What do you think you're doing?!"

"Leaving."

"What was that explosion?"

"The warehouse where they kept people with brown eyes."

"Why did that blow up?"

"It doesn't matter now! Seth and I are leaving this place. It isn't what we thought it was. If you come with us, I'll explain when we get out."

Hank and Charles looked at each other. Danielle stood.

"Voy con Beth."

I smiled. "Okay, you can come."

Mary Grace stood up. "I'm going."

Charles's eyes widened. "Mary Grace?!"

"I trust Beth, Charles."

Hank groaned. "We'll all go."

I grinned. "Okay. Let's go."

Seth whistled and I led all of them over to us. Patch stared at them.

"Welcome to the team," I said to Patch.

Security guards entered the dining hall, trying to create order in the chaos. They spotted us and started yelling. Seth shouldered through the door and motioned for us to follow. I jumped the photographer and knocked him out before he could scream. Danielle shushed C.J. as we ventured into the next room. Deja vu smacked me in the face as we all herded ourselves into Allison's room, again. She was squatting under her desk, thanks to the explosion. She looked up and gasped.

"You!" she pointed accusingly at me.

"Yeah, me."

I clunked her over the head with the butt of my gun and ran after the others, who were already making their way through the other door. I burst through it. The rain had stopped, and now only clouds covered the sky. I saw Hank attack a soldier and take his weapons, tossing a few to Charles. That's when the alarm sounded. We all took off running to the giant metal door. Patch sprinted up to it and slammed his hand on the button. The door began opening. Soldiers began shouting at us and ran to us, abandoning their posts.

We ran through the door as soon as we could. It was now a race. All the soldiers on the wall were chasing us on foot, instead of taking the position of sniper. We were sprinting as fast as we could, with Patch and Hank leading the way. I saw Danielle begin to lag behind. I slowed down and ran up next to her. She looked at me with fear.

"Bethany, I won't make it!" She cried, huffing and puffing.

"Keep going, Danielle, don't give up!"
