"Because how could a son forget his mother's name?" I said back to her still trying to grasp that this is real "Wait your my... Hiccup?" She said sounding like she didn't believe it either. I nodded my head to her. She leaned on Cloudjumper like I am to Toothless. We stood in silence still shocked. Then she took off her mask as well "I guess you took after me then?" She said softly

I chuckled "I guess so." Toothless rubbed up on me "This is your mother, the one that died?" She asked me. I nodded my head "It seems like it Tooth... but I-I have no idea how." I said down to her. She just smiled up at me "I guess things are starting to look up for you." I realized that was true. I've gotten stronger, better relationship with my dad and Astrid, and then my dead mom comes back to life... it almost seems too good to be true

"S-so can you tell me about yourself?" My mom asked. I had Toothless lie down and I followed leaning up on her. Then I told her about how I was a blacksmith with Gobber, liked to draw, and just some other bits and pieces about myself "So how about you?" I asked her back wondering how she has been within the last 16 years

"Well I've been with Cloudjumper since that night when I was taken. After that he brought me to the nest..." I gave a confused look over to Toothless then back to my mom; the Red Death was a kill on sight with us "How did you have her not eat you when I entered the nest?" I asked

She truly looked surprised "Oh the king didn't even give me the slightest thought of agitation." The king? What was she talking about "You mean the queen right?" I said remembering that's what Toothless told me. She laughed "No the king bewilderbeast of the ice sanctuary." Now I was even more confused "Ice sanctuary, more like a fiery Hel." I told her remembering the fire and smell of death in the nest

She raised an eye "We must be talking about different nests then." She told me "So what is a bewilderbeast?" I asked her wondering about this new dragon "Oh he's amazing, he provides food and protection for all of the dragons of the nest." Then she described the details of him and how he could, if he wanted, take over dragon's minds. I was amazed and surprised that no Viking has ever seen something so big

"Anyways for the last 16 years I've been unlocking the secrets of dragons and saving them from dragon trappers." I did feel a little anger deep in my mind start to build but I suppressed it "S-so are you mad with me?" She asked almost as if reading my thoughts. I didn't respond

"I could teach you." I didn't know what she meant but she walked over to Toothless "About everything I've learned about them." She presses her fingers into Toothless's back and multiple fins came out "Whoa..." Toothless looked at her back then opened and closed her fins multiple times "Did you know about this?" A asked her completely forgetting about what I thought just a second ago

She clapped the fins a few more times "Nope, but by back feels better now." I looked over at my mom who was watching Toothless. She turned towards me "That will help with sharp turns." My mind was blown "That is amazing, where did you learn that?" I asked her "Well that little trick works with a lot of the dragons in her class with quick speeds." I was really impressed "I really hope to learn more." She looked happy to hear

I realized that I still haven't told her the full truth about me "Mom..." She looked away from Toothless and hummed "I didn't tell you everything involved with my dragon speech." She didn't look surprised "I figured, what else do you want to tell me?" I was nervous to tell her about my abilities "I'm going to show you just... please don't get scared." She nodded her head and stepped back

I was nervous that she would think of me as a freak but I thought about my dragonic side anyways. I thought about my body rather than just a single limb this time. I felt the familiar feeling of me changing, this time it was within seconds of me starting. I heard a gasp and I opened my eyes to see my mom standing there with a shocked look on her face
