"Titan you need to learn to share." "But that's my favorite ones." "Hush, I can get you some more later." "Thank you KK." "No problem sweetie." "Kelly can I talk to you?" "Dre I can't do this." "We have to. She would want this." "That man just woke up not too long ago." "It's been a week and we don't have a choice." "What about the kids?" "They'll be fine." "I can't." "Then I will." He opened the door to Jay watching tv. "Hey man." "Where is my wife?" "She's-" "Tired." "Joseph!" "She technically is." "She's at home?" "No, she's at my house resting." "Well what happened? Cortez still alive? I haven't heard from y'all in a while." I shook my head, "It's over. Him or his family won't be a problem anymore. Y'all are safe now." "Well the doctor said I can go home today." "That's good." "Where's Ky's party?" "I think Bey just wanted to have it at your house. You know something small with just family." "Alright, so are y'all taking me home or do I need to call my mom?" "I called your mom last night and she said she'd be up here later." "Okay, I'll catch y'all later then."
Later that day we got the kids and took them to Jay and Bey's house for Kyle's party. They were so excited to see their daddy that they didn't even realize Bey wasn't there. They played with their cousins while the adults sat around and talked. I stepped outside to make a phone call but was interrupted. "Hey Solange have you heard from Bey?" Kelly asked. "Yeah we were with her last night." "I know and she said that she'd be here for Ky's party last time we talked." "Well you know she's a little worn out with everything going on." "Yeah, how is she?" "Uh she good. You know just under the weather." "That's weird. She wouldn't let some little sickness make her miss her baby's party." "Knowing her, she'll make it up to him." "When you see her, tell her to call me." "I will." She went back into the house but then my brother came out, "You call yet?" "I was about to." "Everybody's inside." I decided to FaceTime her because my mom said that she'd been up for a while. "Bey!"
