It was after eleven when we finished cleaning the kitchen, I stood at the counter in a daze thinking about the whole conversation we had with Paul. I was already super geeked about moving to a new city/state and everything he said had me ever more excited.
Me and the girls laid out by the pool and listened to music before we decided to get dressed up and head into town. We hadn't even been at the board walk for thirty minutes when we bumped into Tristan and some of his friends. We shopped around for a while before getting lunch in the food court. "How ironic is this." One of Tristan's friends blurted out. "What's so ironic?" Ruby asked confused. My buddy here was just telling us about how he had to dip out around two to cook lunch for a group of pretty ladies and here we are. Tristan gave him the side eye before placing his hand on his face and shaking his head. "If you guys are lucky maybe y'all can come over for dinner." I giggled. "I'm sorry about that." Tristan said on our way to the table and you really don't have to invite them over for dinner, my little brother is a tough pill to swallow. He's shy yet outspoken I'm not sure what it is but the kid is all over the place. "It's okay." I laughed. As soon as I began eating my wings and fries my mind drifted onto Andrew, it was his favorite meal to get at the mall. I remember our first mall date we both ate chicken and waffles and then we brought our first pair of matching Jordan's. everything was so perfect between us back then. When I felt my self tearing up I shook the thought of him out of my head and bit into another wing. As much as I missed that boy I new it could never be the same between us, he made me feel like less of a woman and I didn't deserve that. I felt tears rolling down my face and I jumped up and power walked to the bathroom I couldn't believe I allowed my self to cry in front of a group of people. I stepped in front of the mirror and tried to give myself a pep talk but it
didn't work, I could no longer hold back my tears. I ran into a stall and just let it all out.
