Chapter 10

Naomi's POV

About 5 minutes of silence passed with no words being exchanged but us digesting the worst thing we did to our parents

"They should get married next weekend" Derrins mother said a gasp escaped my mouth while I shook my head no

"Yes we should start preparing for the wedding," My mom agreed excitement all over her face.

"No wait don't we have a say in this," Derrin took the words right of my mouth

"Yes I mean we should agree to this or something right dad?" I said hoping he will agree with me.

"Tomorrow I'm bringing the contract both of you will have to sign unless you want to starve for the rest of your life." Dad says before he stands up the rest of the parents follow him

I lean against the couch engulfed in my thoughts.I should have studied hard at school probably I would get married to the person I love not Derrin,Derrin seems nice he is good looking but he isn't someone with vision or someone I'd want to have kids with well that's if I'll even have kids.

"this is fucked up,I was woken up from a nice sleep for this dick breath." he clicks his tongue then walks back to his room.

I wanted nothing to do with the wedding arrangements for the past days I have been at home in my room,since you shouldn't see your husband before your wedding day, it's our belief can't change it.

"Honey," I hear my moms voice at the door and close my eyes pretending to be asleep."I know you aren't sleeping Linda is here to pick you up she said she wants you to enjoy your last day as a single woman."She slams the door behind her.

I exhale deeply the sit up I have a lot of things to do but gladly I have two mothers who are willing to help me with everything, I should be thankful for them but really I can't all I feel is sadness and pressure

I take a quick cold shower stealing a glance at my self in the mirror my eyes are red and puffy my face is red as though I didn't sprinkle it with cold water,my lips are plumpy from biting them.

I pull the first thing I see from my clothes and get dressed,Lee has her hair made she has nice clothes on,she must she is my bridesmaid after all my mother was going to be my maid of honour talk about a different wedding huh.

"Friend." She moves her eyes from her phone to me.

"Oh God you look horrible." She covers her hand with her mouth

"I know,so where are we supposed to go?" I ask as I sit on the passengers seat on her car

"To the spa first girl you getting married to a freaking stoner not some random nigga who is uptight and shit."She emphasized with her hands

" As correct as that is but I don't want to be tamed Lee I don't want to act differently because I have a husband, I wanna fuck whoever I want,Drake bru."I sigh

"Then do it privately make sure you don't break the contract it is only 12 months till you end it."

"12 months sounds longer can you stick to one year?" I sneer,she nods in agreement.

Derrins POV

I feel like shit right now,I was still in Naomi's and My apartment I couldn't go home to the people who took my freedom and decided to marry me off to a girl who doesn't even have vision or morality.

I'm nothing better than her but they would have at least gave me someone who will motivate me not Naomi she is too loose.

"Shit" I mutter as Elyse kissed my neck,I didn't think she'd come back after the Amanda incident but I guess I am that good.

"Morning baby." she smiles kissing my cheek

"Hey" I say coldly

"So you getting married tomorrow huh." She gets off the bed putting on her bra

"Yeah I guess"

"Call me on your honeymoon night I'll come crash it" She winks giving me a seductive smile

"Sure." I see her frown before bringing her lips to her mouth she wants to say something

"Spit it out. " I say in a strong tone

"Do you love me or at least like me?" She looks down I can't help but smile

"of course I like you Elyse why would you doubt that?"

"Because you never told me"

"But I showed you right?", She stays quiet," Elyse I've been fucking only you for the past year and you doubt that I like you? "She sits on the corner of the bed and sighs

" It's not that but I'm scared you'll marry the beautiful mix-raced Naomi and forget about the white Elyse."

I move closer to her,"Don't doubt your self because we aren't of the same race besides I'm not fully African,that should count on something right? "I hear her chuckle and I smile for making her happy

" Right I need to go I have classes tomorrow"She grabs her bag I wrap my hands around her waist and kiss her neck as we walk to the door.

Just as I open the door Austin and Moses walk in

"Getting a fuck before you go to prison bro." Moses laughs

"I needed that why are you guys here anyway."

"You are getting married right." Austin asks

"Yes"

"She don't love you right?"
I nod

"You don't love her?"
I nod again

"She probably won't even let you touch her"

"yes fuck where are you getting at." I bark at Austin

"Well your bachelor party is on go clean yourself so we could go enjoy your last day as a free man." I stand up but stop midway

"I think I just agreed to be in a relationship with Elyse."

"What?" they say at the same time

"I have to bath"

I hear them call for me behind but I close the bathroom door locking it behind me.
