A/N:

Sorry it took awhile to update. I've been super busy lately!! Also I'd like to dedicate this chapter to PretentiousBookLover for all of their support and feedback for almost every chapter!:)

(Maxon's POV)

I am so glad that the Report is over. I don't like them at all, but of course I have to go to every single one! There was nothing else to do today, so I decided I would take more of the girls on dates. The only reason I was actually doing this was so that the girls didn't think America was my favorite. If they thought this, she would probably get the silent treatment. I want her to have the best time possible here at the castle. America is my favorite, but the only person who knows that is my mom. I don't know why, but I just don't feel comfortable telling dad yet. Finally, I reach my room. The files with all the girls is still in here. I go through and weed out who's here and who's not. Then, I actually go through the files to see which girl I would talk to today. I definitely didn't want to see Elise today, she was just too.. overexcited or something. At the end, I decided I was going to bring Kriss on a date today. I'd only brought her on 2 or 3 dates (I couldn't remember) and she was really nice. I like to hang out with her the most after America. She doesn't agree on everything with me, and I like that. The future queen, I feel, should be able to make her own independent decisions instead of just agreeing on everything with me. I find that very annoying. So Kriss it is, I think. When I get to the Ladies' Room, not many girls are there. America isn't there, and I feel kinda disappointed. My eyes scan the room until they find Kriss. She catches my eye and smiles. I walk over to her and say,

"Would you like to come to the theater with me?" She looks delighted as she says,

"Yes! Definitely." We walk down to the movie theater together. When we get there, Kriss starts talking and we end up having a huge conversation. She talks about her family, the palace, her hobbies, etc. When Kriss is done talking, I tell her about my family, the duties I have, and what I do in my free time. (When there's not girls around) After about two hours of having a great conversation, we never actually watched a movie.

"Well, I have to go now. There's a meeting I need to get to and I can't be late. I had a great time!" My sentence is 100% truthful. She smiles and says,

"That's fine. I think Silvia is teaching us a lesson or something like that. I had a great time, too! I hope we can do this again sometime!"

"Definitely!" I didn't even realize the word came out of my mouth. Oops, oh well. At the meeting, we talk about the same old stuff. Budget. Infrastructure. War Strategy. It goes on and on until finally it's over. Of course, just as I'm about to leave, my father saunters up to me.

"When would you like to have that party?" At first I have no idea what he is talking about. And then I remember, it's the one I asked America to a week ago.

"Um, uh.. How about when there's less girls around. I think that'd be a lot easier." My father nodded and said,

"So after the next elimination? When will that be?" I stare at my father, shocked.

"Um, I don't know! I just did one recently!"

"Ok. But when you are ready to eliminate, tell me so I can start the party details."

"Ok." I walk out of the room. Where I'm going? I don't have the slightest idea. I turn the corner of the hallway and slam into someone.

"I'm so sor- America?" She looks shocked too and says,

"I'm so sorry I ran into you. I wasn't paying attention.." I chuckle and say,

"Mind wandering these days?" America pretends to look offended and playfully flicks me.

"Hey!" She says. I laugh out loud at that one and say,

"So, let's head to lunch." She nods and we walk to the dining room. Nobody is there yet. Wait- I take that back. Silvia is there.

"America." She barks. I don't even think she notices me walk in. So typical. Silvia starts telling America orders on what they are doing today. I roll my eyes.

"Silvia?" I ask. Silvia turns her head and says,

"Oh! Prince Maxon! I didn't see you there!" I resist the urge to roll my eyes again. I glance over at America and see that she's tugging her ear. I glance back at Silvia but tug my ear back. Hopefully America saw.

"Are you, um, doing a lesson today?"

"Actually, yes. The girls are doing a project today. It will affect you because your parents said that at the end of the project you have to eliminate someone." At this point more girls had come in. When they heard elimination, they yelled,

"WHAT?" I had the same reaction.

"Are you sure, Silvia?" I ask.

"Yes. Both your mother and father told me." Ugh.

"Ok. What is the project?"

"Basically the girls are holding a reception for the royal guests we are having in a week." Wow, that was a big project.

"And they have to do it by themselves?" I ask. That seems a little extreme.

"No. We are having four receptions so there will be four groups." Ah, that makes sense. I can't wait to see what the groups are.

"Alright." I sit down for lunch at the table I always sit at with my parents. They both walk in a minute later. All the girls are here, so lunch is served.

Lunch is normal as usual, and afterwards I head down to the library. I don't have anything else to do for the rest of the day, except to see America later and to talk to the new troop arrival (with my dad of course) about rebels and stuff.

Sorry this chapter may have been a little boring but next chapter will be better I promise!!
