"Baby, wake up," I hear Lex call for me.

My eyes open slowly. At first he is all fuzzy and then my vision comes together. He is dressed nicely today but still casual. Jeans and boots. Cleanly shaven and hair combed to perfection. He looks so handsome.

"Come on. Get up. I wanna take you somewhere."

I yawn and stretch. "What time is it?"

"Six."

I roll my eyes. "Why so early?"

I swing my legs off the bed and walk past him. He swats my bottom as I go. I rush to shower and get dressed. Lex hurries me along. Telling to just put my hair in a ponytail and not even worry about makeup. I wonder what has him in such a mood but he won't say anything other than we have to hurry. Milo waits downstairs next to a car. He holds open the door for us. I sit next to Lex and wonder what all this is for. Milo drives us along.  Shortly, we arrive at an airport. Milo holds the door open but stays behind with the car. Lex takes my hand and drags me along.
When I'm sitting in the seat of the plane, I've had enough.

"What the hell is going on?" I snap.

Don't get me wrong, going anywhere with him is fine, but I'm in the middle of planning our wedding and I still have so much to do.

He sits next to me. A wide grin on his face, he is excited, I can see it in his eyes.

"Just wanted to do some future planning. That's all. Now sit back and relax. Breakfast will be here shortly. I hope you're hungry," he says.

And boy, he wasn't kidding. It's obvious that we are in first class. I've never been on a plane before but from the fancy chairs, vases of flowers, the tvs, and glasses of orange juice, it isn't hard to tell. Breakfast ended up being two huge plates of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and honey butter biscuits. Lex knows me so well that he had had everything ordered before we even got on the plane. After I had stuffed my face, I leaned my head on his shoulder and returned to sleep.

It seems like only a minute before he wakes me again. The sun shines through the windows, showing us what a beautiful day awaits us. Lex helps me upright and down the stairs of the plane. It's warm here. Wherever we are?

"Where are we?" I ask.

Lex grins. "Savannah Georgia."

My eyes widen. I'm confused.
"What in the hell are we doing here?"

He takes my hand. We walk a little ways before he stops. He turns to me.

"It's only an idea. If you don't like it here and want to keep looking then that's perfectly fine. I just wanted you to see it and tell me what you think."

I nod. A man holding open the door to another car waits for us. As we ride through town, I take in everything around me. I've never been in the south before. Lex and I will stick out like sore thumb here. Well... Lex more than me but still. Downtown Savannah is very charming. Little shops line the streets. The town is full of life, couples walking hand in hand, people smiling and waving at each. It's all so welcoming here.
The massive oak trees have hanging moss on them. Giving the area a magical feeling. We pass a little restaurant that has art painted all over the brick walls. Everything seems so alive and bright here and yet it still has a type of southern charm to it.
A paddle boat sits at the side of the river waiting for people to step on. I wonder what it would be like to ride a boat like that. It looks like fun. I can imagine me and my family enjoying the days here. I know what Lex is getting at by bringing me here. I've known for a while that we couldn't stay together and still live in L.A. Lex is taking a big risk by stay there now. But here.... No one would know us. It's different but it's a fresh start.
We ride a little ways out of town. Only about ten minutes away from downtown. The roads take us to a dead end. Just when I'm about to ask where we are, the driver turns down to a dirt road. A large gate blocks our way. The driver types in a code and the gates open.
The drive way is lined with more oak trees and the hanging Spanish moss that I find so lovely. The fields past those trees seem to go on forever. But up ahead, comes into view a small lake. Ducks are swimming there. And beyond that..... Is a rather large house.
I feel Lex watching me carefully. My eyes widen when I see the house of my dreams. The one I had told him about. The one that will be our home.
A lady stands on the wrap around porch, waiting to show us inside. But as I step out, I can't move. It's beautiful. Simply beautiful!

"Do you think I'm crazy?" Lex asks.

I smile but I still can't take my eyes away from the house. "I've always thought you were crazy, Lex, but just now, I think you might be the most amazing man on the plant."

He chuckles. "You only think that now?"

I elbow his side. My eyes glued to the house. "You know what I mean."

"Do you like it?" he asks.

A giddy fuzzy feeling fills my chest. I nod, like a little girl on Christmas morning. "I love it!"

We walk up the red brick wall way, flower beds sit on either side of the front steps. I shake hands with the lady but I don't even hear her name. I'm far to distracted by the beauty of this home. We walk into to find a sitting room, a insanely large kitchen, formal dinning complete with a fire place, a informal living area, and two downstairs bathroom. The floor is of cherry wood, which is dark but the soft colored paint lightens it up.  The staircase is the main focus of the center of the house. Upstairs are four bedrooms, two with their own bathroom, and one very nice public bathroom. We see an office, which Lex seems to like a lot. And last is the master bedroom.
My jaw fits the floor. I step into every girls dream bedroom. Off to the side is a sitting area, with a opening balcony complete with white French doors and a fire place. The lady calls my attention to her as she opens the door to a walk in closet. But it's more than just a walk-in, it's a master piece walk-in closet. I don't even think I have enough clothes to fill it, not even including Lex's.
I can hardly breathe.
Lex is grinning from ear to ear. He knows what I'm thinking. And then the lady shows us the master bath. For a moment, I feel a little dizzy. You swim in that bathtub. And the shower, with its waterfall effect, and colorful lighting, I can't take it all in. It's just so much. His and hers sinks sits far enough apart for a vanity to sit in between.
I giggle for some unknown reason. I open my arms and spin around. Lex leans against the door smiling.
The lady nods her head and steps outside, letting us have a moment to talk.

"Well?" he ask.

I take a deep breath. "I can't.... I don't even know what to say!"

He moves to me. Pulling me close to him. "Is it everything that you wanted?"

I blink. "Lex, we don't have to buy this. We could live in a cardboard box and I'd be happy."

He kisses the top of my head. "But I want a home with you. I want the home you dreamed of. The one you told me about."

I lean up on my tiptoes and kiss him.  "You were listening that night."

He smiles. "Even though I freaked out, yes I listened to every word."

Another kiss and he says. "We should probably look at the rest of the house and grounds before we tell her our answer."

The rest of the house included a very nice laundry room and attic and completely finished basement. Outside the back was a iron fenced in backyard, a small gardening section, and a fantastic underground pool. A sitting area with a built in BBQ. With so much to take in, I can't hardly speak when Lex asks me if I want this place. I lie and say that I don't. It written clear all over my face how much I love it but I explain to him that if he doesn't want it then we will keep looking. Afterall, this is his money not mine. Which I absolutely hate that.
But Lex knew I had no money when we met and he knows it now. It's nice to know that neither of us are in this for the money.
As I walk around the edge of the pool, I watch Lex talk business with the lady. My man is a smart business man and I know that he will get the house for the best price. It might seem silly to buy a house after only seeing one house at all. But when it's right, it's right, and this will be our home. It will a happy place, a safe haven.

(I'm sorry I haven't updated. I have been sick all week. But I hope everyone enjoys this chapter. It was a fun one to write! Let me know what you all think of the new home?)
