Chapter 33: Gold's Story

     "Friends?" I asked. "Yeah! Ever since Silver and I helped you out yesterday, we
became friends." Gold explained. "It's mostly due to him not wanting to associate with
Blue." Silver added. "Why did you two hate each other?" I asked. "I'll tell you the whole
story!" Gold said.

     It was freshman year when I first started dating Crystal. We had gym together, and I
couldn't stop looking at her and I felt so nervous around her. Silver was also in the
same class. We didn't really know each other. Silver had just moved there from some
other region, so he didn't really talk to anyone. I finally grew some balls and tried to talk
to Crystal. I did pretty damn well if I say so myself. I said a cheesy pickup line which
made her laugh. I could see Silver behind her roll his eyes, but I ignored it. It felt great
to make her laugh. After two weeks of flirting with Crystal and bravely asked for her
number, I asked her out. I nearly screamed when she said yes. We hung out all the time,
and then she introduced me to her best friend, Lyra. We all got along great together.
Everything was going great until Lyra was telling Crystal about this guy with long red hair in her English class. I knew it was him just by the hair. "Ew, him? He's such a
weirdo." I remarked. "No one asked you Gold." Lyra spat. I gotta admit, I was a huge
douche during freshman year. I cared so much about my reputation. I hung out with
only "cool people." I met Blue in my Johto History class. He was ogled by every girl, so I
decided to become friends with him. Blue is your typical football playing douchebag. He
would always bash people for losing and picked on his own brother for the dumbest
things. Green would get bullied every now and again for being gay, and Blue would say,
"that's what happens when you're gay." I didn't agree with what he said. Gay people are
just like everyone else. I liked Green also, he was smart and always brought people up
when they feeling down. He's helped me with "Crystal" issues when she was mad at me. When I would go to Blue's house to hang out with him, I always made sure that I would
say hi to Green. Lyra started dating Silver a few months after I asked out Crystal, and
that caused some problems. Silver always looks like he's smelling shit, or has resting
bitch face. He's also an introvert, while the three of us are extroverts. Silver always
expressed his opinions. One day, I said Cyndaquils were way better than Totodiles, and
that caused a fight. Silver was saying that it makes no sense since fire is weak to water,
but I argued that it was cooler. He then said that a crocodile is way cool than a mole and
I honestly flipped. I started swinging and he fought back. The girls pried us off of each
other, and told us both to go home. The next day, they made us meet them at the park
to explain some things to us. Silver and I didn't say anything to each other. "Since you
two seem to argue every time we all hang out, you two are going to have to take turns to
be with us." Crystal said. "Who put you in charge of all this?" I asked. "Lyra and I came
up with this together. We both want to hang out with you two, but we can't stand the
arguing." Crystal explained. "That's fucking stupid. Your plan is dumb as hell." I spat
while rolling my eyes. "Don't talk to them like that." Silver said while looking away from
me. "You gotta problem with the way I talk to my girlfriend?" I asked while facing him.
"Yes, I do. It's disrespectful." He replied. "Guys, stop." Lyra said. "What's your problem
man, you've had a problem with me this whole year so far." I aggressively said. "You're a
huge douchebag to everyone. I don't like seeing you talk to Crystal that way." Silver said
with a straight face. "I can talk to her how ever I want." I spat. "You've been hanging
around that asshole Blue too much. You're starting to act like him." Silver said. "Don't
you dare talk about my boy like that!" I said as I started swinging at Silver once again.
The girls pried us off of each other once again and screamed at us to go home. I felt
guilty about the next day. I felt bad for making Crystal mad. About two years went by of
me and Silver taking turns hanging out with the girls when they were together. We just
went along with it. We would always throw shade at each other. We started fighting
again when May and Drew wrote fan fiction about the two of us. I thought that Silver
put them up to this, and he thought that I was responsible. We realized that it made no
sense and I actually apologized to him for only that reason. This past summer, Red and
Leaf moved in next door to Blue and Green. Blue was my best friend at the time, so he
talked about them. He told me that he and Green saw them at a diner the night they
moved in and told me that Leaf was cute. He also told me about Red, he said that he
could smell the gay off of him. I found that rude, but I didn't say anything. A whole shit
storm went on between the four of them throughout the summer. Blue told me he and
Green got in an argument over a piece of cake. Blue called me over later that day and
told me everything. He said that he seduced Red to get back at Green for being the
"better brother." I didn't understand it, why the hell would you do something like that?
I felt bad for Green, so I told him. He started crying, and then went to Red's house. I
didn't tell Green why Blue seduced Red though, I didn't want to completely crush the
boy. Fast forward to the future, aka yesterday. I skipped school because Blue asked me
to. I was hesitant to do so, but I did. Blue always told me to be down for him no matter
what, but I was starting to hate him. I didn't realize until recently how manipulative
Blue was. I started to hang out with Crystal more often, and I felt bad because that
meant Silver didn't get to hang out with Lyra. But anyway, Blue ranted to me how much
of a prick Red was since he told the school that Blue was gay and cheated on Green with
him. "What did you expect, he's not gonna lie about?" I said. "I thought that Red would
be too much of a pussy to call me gay, I even warned him that no one messes with me."
He said while gritting his teeth. After arguing with himself, he bolted out of the door
and ran to school. I knew that he had finally snapped and was going after Red. I chased
after him screaming for him to stop. When we made it to the courtyard and Blue
spotted Red, I warned Red to run, but instead, he turned around and that's when the
fight started. I tried my best to get him off of him, but Blue was too strong. I was so
happy to see Silver running towards us. I knew that the two of us could pull him off of
him. I saw Lyra run inside and I guessed that she went to get Principal Norman, and I
was right. After Blue was contained and Red was sent to the nurse. I saw that Silver
was sitting in a chair by himself in the office. "Hey, thanks for helping me." I said. "No
problem." He answered. "You know, I'm sorry about starting petty fights with you. Now
that I'm older, I realize that I was just trying to fit in and was being a douche and I'm
really sorry. I don't want to cause any problems between the two of us." I said. "Thanks,
I appreciate it." He said. "So, you wanna go get ice cream?" I offered. "Sure." He said.
While we were walking, I realized that I knew nothing about the guy! The whole time we were together, we asked each other questions. Turns out that we both like the same
games and movies, and turns out that we're both from the Johto Region along with the
same hometown. Small world huh. We exchanged numbers and game usernames and
we became friends.

"Lyra and I couldn't believe it when we saw them walking together at school." Crystal
said. "I've always hoped that they would put that stupid argument behind each other
and get along. I'm so happy that it's finally happened." Lyra said. "Aw I'm so happy
now!" Leaf said. "Blue told you all that?" Green asked in shock. "Yeah, sorry you're just
now finding out, I should have told you sooner. Sorry Red." Gold explained. "It's fine.
I'm just glad it's all over." Green said. I nodded my head in agreement. "Well, we've
been here for so long, I think we've worn out Red, we'll see you tomorrow Leafy!"
Crystal said while hugging her. "Bye my lovies!" Leaf said as she hugged each of them.
Everyone left and it was just me and Leaf in my room. "I'm gonna head to bed. They all
wore me out haha, goodnight Red!" Leaf said as she walked out of the room and into
her's.
