Chapter 28: A Spoopy Halloween

Leaf woke us all up at around seven in the morning. "Wake up! Wake up! We need to
go to the mall to buy costumes!" Leaf yelled while shaking everyone. "It's too early."
Gold grumbled. "Five more minutes." Crystal whined. "Dammit Leaf! It's way too
early!" I yelled. I hate waking up early due to her. "We have to leave early since we have
to go to Lavender Town! It takes awhile to get there." Leaf explained while walking out
the door. Green sat up and stretched and took out his phone. Everyone eventually took
out their phones to check them. It's sad to see how teenagers spend their mornings.
When I was a kid, I would wake up and rush to the beach. Leaf rushed us all to take
showers and made a huge breakfast for the long day of traveling. "Where are we gonna
stay. I'm not gonna travel at night for hours to get back to Pallet Town." Gold said. "We
can just stay at a Pokémon Center. Gramps gets free rooms, so I can book us at the max
two rooms." Green said. "Thanks Greenie! That sounds awesome!" Leaf exclaimed.
After we ate our breakfast, Lyra suggested we walk to Viridian City to enjoy the scenery.
"I want to see a Jigglypuff!" Leaf shouted. "There aren't any Jigglypuff on Route One,
you'd have to go past Pewter City to see them." Green explained. Leaf pouted and
continued on walking. We made it to Viridian City and went to their local costume
store. The Halloween store at the mall was cleared out, there wasn't any costumes left.
We each got our characters and went to the bus stop.

     "What do you mean the bus doesn't go to Lavender Town?!" Leaf shouted at the
ticket booth woman. "Sorry lady, this bus only goes to major cities. You'd have to walk
from Saffron City to get there." The woman said. Leaf huffed and took the bus tickets to
Saffron City. "We're gonna have to walk to Lavender Town! I can't believe this!" Leaf
exclaimed. "It's only a few miles away, it can't be any longer than it is to get to Viridian
from Pallet." Gold explained. But he was wrong, it was way longer. It took us two hours
to walk from Saffron to Lavender. Leaf was quiet the entire time. Leaf hates being told
wrong when she was right all along. I'm concerned for Gold's future. We made it to  
Lavender at around six. "The sun is still up, that's a good sign, right?" Gold asked,
frightened a little bit. Leaf darted her eyes at him. Gold gulped and walked towards
Crystal. "Let's go get our rooms at the Pokémon Center, I don't want to carry a backpack
the entire time in the tower." Lyra said, while walking towards the center. Green got us
the two free rooms for just being related to the old Pokémon professor. The girls took
one room, and the boys took the other. "Red, come here." Green said while motioning
me to sit next to him on the bed. "You wanna post these screen shots now? I've already
sent them to Sapphire and she said that she will post them." Green said. "What screen
shots?" Gold asked. "Blue is trying to start some shit with Red and we have evidence on
how it's fake." Green explained. "Is it just Blue?" Gold asked. "No, it's Trip and Miette
also. Kiawe was in the chat but sent me the messages." Green explained. "Trip is in on
it?" Paul asked. "Yeah, he's one of Blue's friends." Gold said. "Trip is an old friend of
mine. He won't be doing anything to Red. I won't let him." Paul said sternly. "Thanks
Paul." I said. It's good to have him on our side, Paul is a big scary guy. Green showed
Paul and Gold the conversation, Gold was in shock and Paul had a stern look on his
face. "Tell Sapphire to post them. I'm gonna post them on my twitter as well." I said to
Green. "I would post it to my twitter, but I don't want Blue to kick my ass." Gold said.
"You're in Lavender Town, he can't do anything." Green explained. "I'll do something
else, I don't want him coming after me later." Gold nervously said. "I'll tweet it." Paul
added. "Great, I will too. When we're done, I'm gonna shut my phone off so we can
enjoy exploring the tower. I don't want this drama following me." Green explained. We
all agreed and did what he said.

     It's now eight, and Gold is bouncing up and down wanting to leave. "Come on! I'm
too excited to wait!" He whined while tugging on Crystal's arm. "Chill out Gold! My hair
needs to be perfect. Leaf came out of the bathroom in her Sabrina costume. She looked
just like her, minus the hair. Their facial structures are too similar. Paul looked pretty
cool as Koga, only he could pull it off. Green rearranged his spikes to look similar to Lt.
Suge's hair. I think that we all looked cool. "It's pretty funny seeing you dressed as
Silver's dad." Lyra said to me with a laugh. "What?" I asked. His dad? "Giovanni is
Silver's dad. He doesn't talk much about him, he doesn't care too much for his father."
Lyra explained. "Woah that's ironic." Leaf added. "We're here! We're here!" Gold
shouted excitedly. He then ran into the entrance of the tower, freaking out the girls.
"Gold! Wait!" Crystal shouted. "Wait! I'm not ready!" Lyra said while following her. Leaf
latched onto Paul's hand, and I stayed with Green. We found the three of them huddled
together when we entered the tower. "This must be the lobby, but it looks abandoned."
Green pointed out. There were cobwebs everywhere, it looks like it hasn't been up and
running in years. It was dark, so we took out two flashlights to see. We realized that
there were boxes scattered around the floor when Gold tripped on one. The girls
screamed at every shadow we made, they're huge chickens. We continued up the stairs
to the second floor since there's no way the elevator works. "Graves!" Lyra shrieked.
"I'm scared!" Crystal shouted, clinging to Lyra. "Hahaha losers!" Gold yelled towards
them. He continued to walk ahead of them. We all followed Gold until he saw
something. "What the- ahhhhhhh!" He screamed. This caused a chain reaction of
screams from the girls, and even I was scared. I instantly grabbed Green's hand for
comfort. Green laughed and squeezed my hand back. "What the fuck was that?!" Gold
shouted while holding his chest. Green and Paul used their flashlights to scan the room
to find the culprit. In the corner of the room, there was a lone Meowth, just chilling.
"Awwww! It's a cute little Meowth!" Leaf said. "It's so cute!" Lyra shouted. The
Meowth's ears perked up and it ran towards us. "Meow! Meowth!" It said. The Meowth
started to rub against Leaf's legs and purred. "It's the cutest thing!" Crystal shouted.
Leaf picked up the Meowth and began to pet it. "He is now coming along with us." Leaf
declared.

     We continued up each flight of stairs in fear, boxes continued to move and I swear I
kept feeling someone tapping my shoulder. We are now on the fourth floor and it's
completely different than the rest of the floors. "This floor is smaller." Gold said while
looking around. "Why is there a dinning table on the floor this high up?" Leaf asked.
"Why is it so cold up here?" I asked. We looked around the floor through the boxes and
cabinets. I wonder why we didn't search through the boxes downstairs. "Hang on, do
you hear that?" Green asked. "Hear what?" Lyra asked. "It sounds like, a tv?" Gold said,
confused. Paul walked over to the wall and put his ear up against it. "It's coming from
the walls." He pointed out. "How?" Leaf asked. Paul shrugged and went to scan the wall.
Gold did the same thing. "There's something behind here!" Gold said as he started to
attempt to move a wardrobe. "Help me out!" He said while struggling to move it. Green,
Paul and I went to help Gold move the wardrobe. As we were pushing, I could see a
small opening leading to the room behind it. "I see something!" Green said. We finally
managed to move the wardrobe to see a small room. In the room, there was a tv playing
a movie with a Slowpoke on it for children. In front of the tv, was a couch. And on that
couch was a wild Gengar, Haunter, and Gastly laughing their heads off at the childish
movie. The girls were petrified with fear. Even the Meowth that Leaf was dragging
around looked scared. Green put his finger to his lips, motioning for us to be quiet. I'm
pretty sure all of us were scared, besides for Paul, he's too hard to read. We all stood
there in silence, until the worst thing possible happened. I sneezed. The wild Ghost
types floated from the couch to look at us. The girls screamed and ran off towards the
stairs. Gold followed them shortly after. Green, Paul, and I watched to see what they
would do. They floated down into the floor boards and we heard screaming. We ran
down the stairs to see that the Gengar has Lyra and Crystal cornered and was making
funny faces at them. The Haunter and Gastly were laughing as Leaf was screaming. The
Haunter floated over towards Gold and lifter him up. "Oh no! Gold!" Crystal shouted
while following the Haunter towards the second floor. Green was laughing by now and
Paul even had a smile on his face. "These guys are harmless! They just want to join in on the Halloween fun!" Green said in between laughs. We continued to follow them all the
way outside to see that the Haunter still had hold of Gold. The girls were terrified and
we were still laughing. The Gengar and Gastly circled them, continuing to laugh and
make funny faces. The Haunter put down Gold and met up with it's friends. The girls
were crying by now and Gold stayed quiet. They laughed for a little bit longer and then
floated back to the tower. "WAHHH!" Leaf cried. "That was so not cool!" Lyra shouted.
"I've never been so scared!" Crystal wailed. Green was bursting out laughing by now.
"It's not funny!" Gold shouted. "Calm down guys! They were just playing!" Green said.
"That was the funniest thing I have ever seen!" Paul said, now laughing. "Not funny
Paul." Leaf said while pouting. "I guess you could say it was spoopy!" Green said
sarcastically. Lyra took off her shoe and threw it at Green's face. "I hate you all." Leaf
said while wiping the tears from her face. "What are you going to do with that
Meowth?" I asked. "I might keep him, he stayed with me the whole time." Leaf
explained. "What will you name it?" Lyra asked. "Maybe Meow Meow? Or Meowzie? I
don't know yet." Leaf said. The Meowth smiled at Leaf, it seems to truly like her. We all
walked back to the Pokémon Center and collapsed in our beds. I'm sharing a bed with
Green, so I'm happy to be going to sleep. I'm really grateful that Green is helping me out
with this whole Blue thing, even though he's involved in it. I hate that he has such a
shitty brother, he doesn't deserve it.
