9:30 p.m

You were at the ice skating rink with your best friend Kellsie. You guys had been there for a while then Kellsie looked at the time.

"Oh shit, I gotta get going! I'm doing things with the family before Christmas Eve." She skated towards the exit but you stayed put. She noticed that you didn't come with her and skated back to you.

"You comin'?" Kellsie smiled. You smiled back and shook your head.

"Nah Imma skate around for a little while longer, I'll call you later." You hugged her and she hugged back.

"Okay love, text me when you get home though!" Kellsie skated back to the exit and left. You pulled out your phone and put your headphones in and played your favorite song. (Listed above yo!) Then you started to skate around. When you skated by yourself, you had time to think about things. You have had a rough couple months. You had been very sad and haven't been genuinely smiling in a very long time. You weren't looking where you were skating and you bumped into somebody, causing you both to fall down. You started to blush because you saw the man's face and from embarrassment.

"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!" You said and giggled.

"No, no don't apologize I wasn't looking where I was going!" The man said, he stood up and offered you his hand, which you gladly took. You both smiled at each other.

"Oh I'm Y/N by the way." You said giggling. The man bowed alittle and offered his hand again to shake it.

"I'm Mark! Pleasure to meet you, M'lady!" Mark said trying to make you laugh, which you did and shook his hand.

"Do you mind if I ask why your skating alone?" Mark asked and you looked down a little.

"Oh I just like being able to get things off my mind and think. It hasn't really been a very good couple months." You kind of chuckled.

"Oh I'm sorry about that." Mark said genuinely.

"It's alright. You mind if I ask you why your skating alone?" You asked. Mark thought for a second and smiled.

"I like being able to enjoy the time by myself  and enjoy all the snow falling. Actually kind of relaxing." Mark smiled at you and he looked like he got an idea.

"Would you like to skate with me, Miss Y/N? Maybe I could keep that pretty smile on your face?" Mark offered and you blushed again.

"Why I'd love to! But I doubt that you could keep a real genuine smile on my face. " You challenged and Mark looked surprise yet interested.

"Oh that sounds like a challenge! If it is, then I accept!" Mark yelled and you started laughing.

"And not only am I making you smile right now, I'm making you laugh! This is gonna be a piece of cake." Mark said as you both started to skate around. You both started to learn a lot about each other. You learned a lot about each other's personalities, what you both did for a living, interests, turn ons and turn offs, etc. And just as he promised, he kept you genuinely smiling and laughing. Mark told you a lot of jokes and puns and did crazy poses when he felt like he was gonna fall down on the ice. After a couple hours you both decided it was time to go home.

"This has been a lot of fun, Mark. Thanks for keeping me company." You smiled at the man with bright red hair who was smiling like a dork.

"Oh no need to thank me, I like helping others feel better." Mark smiled back as you gave him a big hug.

"I should be getting back to my apartment." You said to him.

"Oh wait! Let me walk you home. It's late and someone as pretty as you shouldn't be walking home in the the dark this late at night." Mark blushed, as did you.

"Okay let's go." You giggled as you both walked back to your apartment as you continued talking and learning more about each other. Then you got to your apartment door and you turned to Mark and smiled again.

"Thanks for everything tonight, I really did have fun." You said.

"Your very welcome, Miss Y/N!" Mark said as he hugged you.

"Hey, do you mind if I could get your number? I'd really like to see you again. Maybe sometime this week?" Mark asked as he held out his phone.

"Oh I'd love to hang out again! On one condition..." you smiled at him.

"Anything." Mark said. You held out your phone for him.

"You gotta give me your number first." You giggled as Mark smirked at you and grabbed your phone.

"Your a sassy one, aren't you?" Mark said.

"Yes sir, I am!" You said while smiling innocently while grabbing his phone. You both put your numbers into each other's phones and handed them back to each other.

"Well I should be going, Goodnight Miss Y/N." Mark said while smiling and starting to walk outside.

"Goodnight Mister Mark" You giggled as you waved at him and entered your apartment and closed the door as you slid down it and sat on the floor smiling like a dork. Meanwhile Mark was standing in the snow, running his hands through his red hair and slightly laughing.

"Oh my god..." You whispered to yourself while still sitting on the floor thinking about the night. Mark stood in the snow still in shock.

"Oh my god!" Mark exclaimed starting to walk home.

You both knew that this night was gonna lead to something more between you two. And you both were ready for whatever would come next.
