Penelope sat on the train, bored. The train didn't have internet so she sat on one of those shitty 'travel games' that everyone has.
Penelope was excited to go home and to see her family, but she wasn't sure if she would be able to cope without Chris's support. She wanted to tell her friends how upset she really felt, but she also didn't want to show any signs of weakness, so she kept it inside.
Her mind began to wonder what it would be like if she stayed behind or if she was a more fun girlfriend, would he still have wanted to be with her? Penelope grunted asshe pressed her fingers down on her temples to soothe her of her constant headache.
Why didn't I try harder? Why wasn't I good enough for him? What did I do wrong?
Her mind was plagued, with him. Chris. Voices inside of her head telling her she's not good enough for him, especially not because she let him slip through her fingers that easily. She didn't even fight for him, she just left.
"This train is set to arrive in south side Chicago in.. five minutes." A voice boomed through the speakers on the walls.
The female smiled slightly, surely she was supposed to move on and be happy again? Only time would tell.
