Chapter 38

"Wow.." Nashi whispered, in total fascination as she stood 1 feet away from the lion's cage. She observed as the big lion yawned, laying on the grass as it just stared at her in boredom, another lion kept walking around and the third was sleeping. "Can I..can I touch it daddy?'' Nashi turned to Natsu who stood besides her, staring at the lions as well.

He turned to her and smiled "Lions aren't always kind sweety, you see lions like that?'' he pointed at the lions and Nashi nodded "they can be vicious at times and they can eat you" Nashi gasped, turning to her father "They eat us but...b-but what did we do?" "That's how it is sweet heart, lions are man eaters can't do anything about it"

"Oh.." Nashi looked at the lion who has been staring at her for the last 5 minutes "But that kitty looks kind" she pointed at it and her father looked at it as well.

"It probably looks so, but lions aren't kind animals sweety, okay?" Nashi nodded "Okay" Natsu smiled before he turned around, he wondered what was taking Lucy so damn long already, they've been by the lion cage for 5 to 6 minutes already and still she couldn't catch up to them by now.

"I wonder what's taking your mother so long Nashi" Natsu mumbled "Me too and I'm getting bored.." Nashi whispered. "Say, you want to get something to drink then we can go check out some reptiles" Nashi raised her brow "What's a reptile?" "You'll see baby, now come on"

He took hold of her hand and walked away with his daughter. "Bye bye lions!" Nashi waved.

"Where did they go again..was it that way..no it was this way.." Lucy walked to her right, through the crowd of people before she stopped "No they were walking here..right?" she walked to her left. Some people who passed her watched her weirdly, wanting to know why Lucy was talking to herself.

"Okay I'm lost..where the hell did Natsu take my daughter.." Lucy grumbled, looking around in the crowd for two pink hair persons. When she didn't see any in sight, she decided to stop a stranger and ask if they happen to see her daughter and her stupid child father.  

A man passed her and she quickly tapped his shoulder. He stopped, turning to her "Sorry sir but did you happen to see um..two pink hair people, a man and child- I've been looking for them for quite a while and I can't see-" the man pointed behind her "Isn't that them?" Lucy turned around and her eyes widened when she saw both Natsu and Nashi there smiling at her, a distant away.

"Hi mummy!" Nashi waved.

Lucy sighed with relief before she turned to the man and gave him a smile "Thank you" "No problem" she walked away from him and towards her daughter and Natsu.

"Mummy where have you been we've been looking for you all over and we saw the lirons!" Nashi exclaimed "It's Lions sweety" Natsu said and Nashi's eyes widened. "The lions!" she cheered.

"Well that's great sweety and the reason why I never caught up was because daddy here" Lucy looked at Natsu who grinned "decided to run away with you and I couldn't catch up" Lucy looked down at Nashi and pouted. "Oh.." Nashi mumbled, looking up at her father before she faced her mother.

"Let's eat" she smiled.

"Thanks.." Lucy whispered, sitting besides Natsu while they both ate burgers, Nashi sitting infront of them, her eyes on the tablet her father bought for her 15 minutes ago. "Natsu you can't keep spoiling her with these things..and she's just 3" Lucy whispered to him. Natsu turned to her then at his daughter.

"It's just a little device I bought for her, it's a gift for being such a nice girl" Lucy rolled her eyes "Well you could of bought something like..I don't know a doll or something, she's too young for tablets" "She can watch educational videos and stuff on it, it can be helpful you never know" Natsu said and Lucy sighed.
